    Drinking from wells

NOTE: New update makes it so that you can no longer drink water from the ocean, while also being able to get it from more realistic sources such as little lakes / ponds and wells that werent available before, for this purpose. Crossing fingers they'll implement that together with this idea. Wonder if there are infections to be had from those sources? Intriguing.

    Melee Weapons

Yes, this has been suggested in numerous threads before, please learn to look around and search. Can someone please lock this thread? We do not need same subject repeated in different threads. Thanks.

Did anyone buy Arma 2 solely for this mod?

On the topic of this website: http://kotaku.com/5910279/pc-zombie-darling-causes-sale-explosion-arma-devs-happy-to-help It's apparent that Bohemia Interactive not only provided an engine that allows for excessive modding, but have a mindset of avidly supporting those mods that are successful like this one. Have got a certain soft spot for this types of mindsets and attitude towards the modding and gaming community itself. Map props to these guys.

    Drinking from wells

Good question, made me too wonder. I also disagree you should have to empty a whole bottle each time you drink. Can you give them '"ammo"', such as three individual gulps, or would anything beyond one use of these imply an unlimited amount of hydration?

    MERGED: changes to inventory system

This: Maybe this is related to the aforementioned coming update? Exciting that the people at Bohemia not only took the time to allow for mods in their game' date=' but also are opening their minds up to helping those that promote their game with a module like this one. Even though I agree that weight probably should be taken into consideration somehow, it would need to be applied carefully, and I'm skeptical towards that sort of simplistic consequence, as seen in TES:Oblivion. This would surely just add more frustration to an already confusing, and at times unmanagable system. If anything, the current system should need rehauling (read: Hardcored no more) before something like this could even be applied by any third party modding capabilities whatsoever. On a second note: With a believable fatigue, food and energy system in place (also further down the line), something towards the idea that your total encumbrance affects endurance on foot, should undoubtedly be an aspect, but I stress the danger of blatantly putting terms into the simplistic nature of a sudden zero movement kind of thing.

    MERGED: changes to inventory system

If forum server overload crashes hadn't eaten up my post, this would have been an elaborate reply on the type of attitude seen in above posts and why it is detramental to development of a mod, along with some thoughts on the actual issue related to the actual topic, but this will have to do: I agree with OP. Stop being pessimistic, just look what they've done so far with Day Z and where we are heading. A mod is for modding game mechanics, and this is one of those things that need changing into something much more intuitive and visibly manageable. Moreover, there's no doubt in my mind that our fellow dev's will deal with this issue eventually.

    Better Bandit skin?

As I mentioned before, important is they differ in style from higher humanity characters, and that's number one. If you give bandits a certain set of specific skins, and "good" people also their specific set of skins but without anything that distinguish these two categories from one another, then well, you are gonna have innocent (until then, that is) people killing one another due to the lack of clear concept and characetrization. And that's number one starting point, which one must take into careful consideration before designing, developing and assigning new models with new concepts. Over n out.

    Weapon Durability

I'm for applying some sort of malfunction and durability system for the weapons used. Not sure about them breaking down though, unless they are directly damaged to a high degree by something very specifically stressful. Jamming? Yep. Cleaning? Yep. As long as it's fair to what specific types of weapons need more cleaning. For instance: In reality, decent Kalashnikovs are just as durable and reliable in adverse conditions as they are said to be. People will never clean and shoot with, say a civilian AK-74 for years, without experience any problem or malfunction, whereas an AR-15 (civilian M16/M4) would need to be cleaned every 1000 rounds or so, because just the unburnt gun powder and carbon itself will smudge up all the little intricate parts of the upper reciever, gas tube, and what have you. Parts that do the same thing, but that aren't even nearly similar in appearance to that of any Kalashnikov. An AK functions so well in bad conditions with dirt and whatnot, primarily because its inner parts are more loose, not very tight fitting and hardly need any lube for those parts to go together well enough for good performance, much like a Glock. So anyhow, back from reality, each weapon should need some form of maintanance if you're equipping it or keeping it in an available quick-slot, in varying degree. Man, devs, you'll be working hard with this myriad of suggestions everywhere from everyone, hope you're getting more capable people to join your team with this recent and humongous amount of interest! God speed ye.

    Better Bandit skin?

Oh, thats a neat one. I find this to be rather off-topic but I would just like to quickly say I strongly disagree about having high humanity characters necessarily in NATO/UN/Coalition uniforms or of the likes. I mean come on, we've heard about this protagonist narrative enough times already. Going back to the actual topic, this looks nice. I don't think we need something very rough or, "terrorist"-like appearance. Just something that is specific to our bandits and, ergo, making them in at least some way, to some degree, distinct to those with a higher degree humanity residing in their heart and minds.

    Day/Night Time

I agree with the original poster, and would like the day/light cycles to not be 1:1 as they seem to be presently. On earth, in this quite real life we experience, duration of day versus night depends on the season, and seeing as it not at least winter when we are playing, there would be more daylight than not seeing how we're in this site in Europe and all. (Actual seasons would be pretty neat by the way). If it's hard to mod how day and night cycles, fine, just think it could be a good idea, no matter how much we like that night time, bandit or not.

    Non-lethal weapons and traps.

I'm all for these suggestion, no doubt whatsoever. They should be rare to find though, as they logically are. What about maze, as well? I see these to be less effective against zombies, since their senses (probably caused by general rotten-ness of limbic and nervous systems) are rather dulled out in general.

Did anyone buy Arma 2 solely for this mod?

I sure did. Then I got a bear-like friend into it and now he's stuck as well. With me, of course. Extremely apprehensive about ARMA2 for a long period of time, (and still am) and I would have never ever purchased it if wasnt for this fantabulous mod.

List of servers with nameplates on?

Important topic. It'd be relatively satisfactory if this was disabled entirely (along with crosshairs then it seems) on at the very least something like 1/3rd of all servers running at any point in time, but ultimately on every one of them. IMO this sort of thing makes little to no sense at all in such an environment with numerous players that are out to survive in an unforgiving environment, when suddenly a tag on your map can appear where you will see the actual survivor and/or their names right there before your eyes, before you even saw them through your own (!), through buildings, shrubbery, windows and so on and so forth. I doubt that this is a final type of direction that our beloved developers are aiming towards with this module.
  14. Same problem seems to be occuring most everywhere. Zombies seem more randomly occuring here and there rather than something consistent. Even though I kind of like that there's some aspect of impredictability and you don't know if they are going to be or not, Z spawns ought to be more consistent.

    Multiple Characters

One solution would be to somehow not allow the same ID tag (the same factual player on same computer, that is) to enter the same server as another ingame character logged out of. Because I whole-heartedly agree that one should be able to have different ones for whatever reason you would want to do so, without the ability to "lure" the system and farm loot with one character and use said loot with another. Getting two copies of the game is an entirely different thing to do for individual players, and anyone is welcome to spend another € 20-30 to be able to play as one would like with or without your buddies as it stands, however this shouldn not be the only option.
