Hmmm... When i started out i always tried to approach other players and i was trusting (witch got me killed alot) and i really dident understand why people would shoot me even thou i was unarmed. now i've seen some of the shit that goes down in DayZ combined with the fact that i myself began to get good gear and now i understand why all thoose people shot me on sight. It's just not worth the risk of losing what usually amounts to a lot of hour's worth of gaming to say hi to somebody so they can shoot u in the back and loot your hard earned gear ;) And after giving it some thought i would say that if this really was a zombie apocolypse there would be people that kill each other over different stuff wouldent there? let's face it, this game's core is about survival and if my survival depends on your death, buddy ... you're going down ;) Dunno if i think u should have hero / bandit skins. again if this was irl there wouldent be a nice little badge on people warning u of dangerous content would there? Right know my personal policy is KOS unless the other player does or says something to change it, found that this keeps me alive longer :)

Hey buddy. was in your shoes not more than 3 weeks ago ... and i got killed and killed and killed. i quess u learn from your mistakes cause you will get better at the basics. like the guy above me said so remember to WALK when u approach a lootspawn (house, barn, industrial building .... and so on) that way u do not agro the zombies ;) The fastest way to get decent guns after u spawn (and also the most likely one to get you killed) is visiting Chernogorsk or Elektrovodsk (Elektro and Cherno for short) and head for the firestations. they spawn akm's, ak's, M16, and if you're really lucky maybe a scoped rifle (only seen that happend once thou) but remember that because of it this is a HOTSPOT for players, and most is of the KOS mentality. but again, u are for that same reason likely to find a body with the stuff u need on theese locations as well. The safest way to get a gun fast is barns .... they spawn Lee enfields, shotguns, winchesters, crossbows and the acasional CZ550. Last thing ... if u keep getting killed at cherno and elektro, then maybe log on to a server with a low amount of people intil u got your barings :) Hope it helped a little

As far as i can understand there is an AS50 (that is a legit drop from choppers) and then there is an AS50 TWS that is a hacked item and although it is not illigal to pick up an item, some admins WILL instabann u if they see u have it thinking you're a hacker (u can see it's an "illigal" AS50 by it's thermal sight, press N (default) to check. also it says AS50 TWS in your inventory) Hope it helped a little :)

Lol ... if you found it at NW airfield it was proberly my body u looted, although that would have got u the laserfinder aswell. As i predicted i died and lost it all again but hey .... that's Day-Z right ;)

I have found the two above mentioned items, my question is this. What do i use em for? can they be used for anything? are they hacked items?

I've been playing for a couple of weeks now and are starting to get stuff that i would love to be able to "save". my question is: how do i save gear / cars etc?? can i just put up a tent somewhere on a random server and log out, log in later and my tent will still be there or?? Can somebody point me in the right direktion?

just found the M4 Holo yesterday ;) but knowing me i will proberly die again soon and loose it again :D

TS is better than skype for gaming because skype uses more bandwith than TS :) just died yesterday so now im a newspawn (again) but usually it dosent take me long to gear up (weapons, map, food, ammo, compass, watch and so on) i have acces to a TS server so if u guys have TS installed let me know then i can PM the ip and pass. then we can meet up ingame? also im from DK so i would rather play in EU placed servers? Going online now, but will check the tread later ;)

im a solo newish player like u, could also use a player like myself to work with. u use TS?
