I've been a fond user of the ACRE mod on my private speak channel and in default ARMA II has always created great immersion. I personally believe that if there was a function like that ingame that it would limit, if not override the side/global chat functions. An overview of ACRE can be found here http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11339. Of course the ingame voice communications are a lot more limited than those in teamspeak but a feature like that would be great of ingame operations or asking for help. Imagine hearing over a local radio 'Hello is anyone out there? I am getting attacked by zombies in the barn to the North of (Town). Can anyone hear me?' rather than over side channel 'Anyone near (town)? I need help in the barn'. Just some food for thought ;)
