Oh god please no, the griefing would be horrible with something like this, its already bad enough with the wirefenced/sandbaged buildings.

A simple 15-20 minute rejoin timer on a server you just left would get rid of the stupid disconnect, bandage, relocate, rejoin and shoot in the back crap thats going on. Server loot hopping would need another type of fix though. What i realy would like is for servers to lock 5 minutes after server reaches x players, and unlock once it drops below y. That would get reduce the immersion breaking players spawning inside areas you have completley scouted and made sure their clear. Either that or add a notification when someone is logging in within 150m of you. Say a Extreamly loud "Yawn" or simmilar plays when someone connects.

Always make sure your playing on a server running the beta oa patch, And always click the arrow to move your weapon Out of the backpack and not into it when changing primary weapons. That way it swaps correctly. Also don't swap primary in another players bag.

It isn't a bad idea, but your backpack or skin would give you away in about .2 seconds. Edit, "that comment doesnt make any sense." indeed it dosnt. Posting in several different threads at one ftl.

if you do decide to wear it, make sure you play for a while afterwards. it takes a little while for the serversto save te position of your "new" character when you change skins.

Servers with higher view distance caps?

From what iv understood the default view distance is actually around 1500. This is then reduced based on the random weather on the servers. -

I agree - Please do not post this info, it's a really bad idea. Basic info such as how many people have died at the North West airfield for example, not so bad as everyone knows it's a hotspot, but heatmaps for where people go? Not good under any circumstances. Approximately 2.6% of all current survivor and bandits combined have NVGs. Considder reading the thread first, though +1 for the rangefinder/gps querry. -

No we are comparing it to parking vehicles and tents 1h's drive of map. i have no issue with beeing able to go of map while your online, but you better reset back to the mapedge if you log out or place something out there. the map areas are that large outside to support decent Airplane combat. A 225km worrld is to small for modern jetfighter speeds. -
