that's what i thought dayZ would be from the start. i reckon its the fact that the zombies were crap (no one's fault) that's the reason the game/community has gone this way. the only things people want to do now are shoot each other and go on teamspeak to have clan wars at balota.

and how is that any different from an empty server? people just want reasons to hate on non-pvp servers.

more zombies. zombies are still not even the slightest bit threatening. i'm getting worried because it seems the community is happy with the current state of the zombies, which is effectively having no zombies, and the fact that the community is happy with it means that people just want to deathmatch anyway, and that the devs are less likely to put more and better zombies in the game. i'll never play dayZ again until zombies are improved because there is literally nothing to do otherwise kill other players and walk around atm. (which is fine because alpha)

tl dr: make more zombies. personally i've not played dayZ in ages and probably won't until the number of zombies is upped massively because there's really not much to do at the moment, so i can understand players getting bored and deathmatching.

but you can just stay on the casual servers though

night vision would basically make it impossible for players without nvg's and players with nvg's would have a massive advantage, once again bridging the gap even further between geared players and newspawns.

even then, do you see people on the street running around with the aformentioned things?

would everyone in the apocalypse be running around with m4's, army helmets, tactical vests, gasmasks and military pistols?

'so old' why the hell does that make any difference? 'doesnt change anything' all the thousands of hackers that have been permabanned beg to differ. honestly i don't believe that hackers could be made into nice people if they were hand held and breast fed through the game by an older group. first of all, if it's kids that you want to help, remember that they shouldnt even legally be playing this game. that's a parent's fault, not the community.

first of all, i'm not tired of people ridiculing and hating on hackers. the fact that you think they deserve our sympathy i just find laughable. they know full well what they're doing. it's not our fault for creating this community. these people just want to have an edge over other players and lots of them get kicks from ruining other people's fun. you think that deserves sympathy? they deserve to be permabanned. your solution only adresses the problem if it were actually what you thought it was. hackers aren't all 5 year old kids who were 'misguided' when they started gaming. hackers are all kinds of people, all assholes. anyone who goes out of their own way to ruin someone elses fun is not some misguided kid.

that's not the developer's fault. clearly you're one of those people who just wants to find military loot and kos everyone you see anyway. you could try: not going to balota not going to cherno not going into military camps surveying an area from a safe place before you enter a high population area this topic was obviously just made after you ran for ten minutes to get to berezino, meaning you probably used an online map. it also means you simply bypassed all the towns and buildings on the way to berezino, because you wanted military loot. so you can go around kos'ing everyone. you are the problem.

was gonna comment exactly the same thing here, op you contradict yourself so much. although i do agree to an extent that the things that require the most focus currently are performance and amount of zombies. i dont see why they're adding all this new content when there's so many fixes to be made. arma was legendary for its horrible performance, and dayZ currently is too. why not spend time making the performance playable for people without a GTX Titan?

you don't even deserve to get a reply, there's no way you'll ever comprehend these simple concepts. i just wish dayZ was less popular so the community wasn't littered with idiot cod kids who really should just not be playing this game.

they may aswell just set up a bot that automatically goes and picks up loot for them so they can carry on with their balota deathmatches community's gone to shit. i always knew this would happen to the standalone (what with the mod going exactly the same direction) i can only hope that over time the cod kids piss off back to cod and leave the 1% of decent dayZ players who actually want to play dayZ
