it will run it fine. my laptop which has considerably lower stats than this can run it ok.

hmm... arma 2 is on sale on steam? could be BI trying to get those last few sales in before dayZ goes standalone, meaning dayZ SA may not be far away at all :D

i really don't see that happening. you can simply shoot them to break them, and it's not like there are gonna be a hundred radios lying around in a village.

finding a mad max leather jacket with shoulderpad in game would mean i'd need to change my pants.

what are you on about? he clearly said before saying 'classes' that he was just using the word as a way of explaining how it will work. there will be no perk system (if that's what you're implying).also, (no offensive hidden message here) are you english? you may have had trouble understanding some of what he said is all i'm thinking.

i absolutely HATE it when people just turn on me and shoot, after i've helped them. what do they think i'm gonna do? i've already helped them, clearly i'm not out for blood. do they think they're cool or something? if this ever happens i make it my mission in the next life i have to hunt them down, then break their legs/ knock them unconcious, and kill them in the worst way possible, after letting them know that if they had been friendly then they would not have met this fate. it feels so damn good getting that sweet revenge kill/,, whether it be hunting them down and shooting them, or breaking their legs and leaving them for dead with lots of zombies around, it is so damn satisfying. when someone is a total asshole to you there is nothing like utterly destroying them and having them know it's you that got them :D and i'm usually such a calm fellow

i have the same problem, but i have an nvidia card so i don't see this being of any help, but i found that dayZ was making my laptop extremely hot as it is so hard on the cpu. i solved this by buying an external fan cooler, which cools my lappy down. hope this was of help. its such an annoying thing to try to fix haha

what latest interviews are these? if you could link them to me i would be most impressed as i have watched all of the interviews and did not get that impression from any of them.

dean said he wanted dayZ to be expensive because they need money to fund the huge project that the tiny team has ahead of them. they need that money. dean isn't the kind of person who would make a game just for the money, he's clearly putting his heart and soul into the project and i think he deserves more respect for that. also, have you even watched many of the videos? the main thing he talks about regarding zombies is that they were too easy in the mod and needed to be edited heavily to work properly. he also mentions numerous times that he is not all that fussed about dayZ appealing to the masses, but more to the hardcore players like us, that want a challenge. have more faith in the man, he knows what we want.

once 1.7.7 came out everyone went apeshit because it was TOO HARD, now the fix has only been out a day and people are already saying it's too easy?! make up your damn minds!

you contradict your own argument in the same sentence :P 'it makes sense that the game would have scoped rifles' then 'but then again dayZ isn't supposed to be 100% fact -based documentary'. make up your mind lol. the reason i dont want super duper high-powered sniper rifles in the game is because they have made the mod into just another shooter. i don't want to see the standalone go the same way. however if the high powered rifles (as50, m107, dmr, m24 etc etc) are in the game but are extremely rare like dean says (100 in the entire world i believe was a suggestion) then i'm ok with that. i just dont like the idea of cod kiddies being drawn to the standalone like they have been drawn to the mod.

hmm, its possible that your graphics card is bottlenecking the rest, but i don't know much about radeon cards but even with that card (its still good) you should really be running it at higher fps? i hate to ask such silly questions but have you actually told the system to use the graphics card? sometimes pc's use the intergrated cards unless you tell them otherwise. also windows 8 may pose a small issue.

or they could remove it as it is completely different to the zombie apocalypse theme but they'd never do that, everyone would go insane :(

it wasn't so much the questions but the fact that he seemed to want dayZ to be alot easier than it is intended to be, talking about the knockout thing and how rare AS50s etc will be, show that he wants them in the standalone, and the idea of a squad spawn (which is ludicrous). all of which is something i'm really against. i don't want insanely powered sniper rifles in the game and i don't want a squad spawn. he just seemed like the kind of player that would ruin dayZ given the option.

yeah, unfortunately it has got to a point where if you dont kill someone they will try to kill you. it seems that in the standalone they're doing as much as they can to stop this mentality and that's what i really wanna see. it really diminishes the vast amount of gameplay outcomes that dayZ could possibly provide :(

i really dont like this interviewer, he just doesnt seem to get that dayZ isn't an FPS and wants a load of massive sniper rifles and squad spawns and game breaking naffness like that. please don't implement anything like that dean!
