Dunno if it has been mentioned before in the thread...very few ppl think about it. When ur in 3rd person view there is no way for another player to know what direction u are looking at. Ur character may look one way while u look the other...makes it hard to sneak up on 3rd person users. Just another example of how 3rd person view destroys tactical gameplay. -

Today I decided to do something ive never done before in dayz....climbed to the top of firestation at NWAF and layed there for about 10 min using 3rd person to scan the area. Killed 7 players in 20 mins...basically every survivor that was trying to loot the airfield. This was so easy and failproof that its ridiculous. -
Nice one man...I see u even use 3rd person to hide ontop of the firestation. U see all but noone sees u...way to play the game in easy mode.

U will never find a futuristic super assault rifle in the countryside in dayz...u will find the high end military gear in military locations. Factor in that its a zombie apocalypse and its not that unrealistic that u might find some strange stuff at odd places. -
I wonder what ppl do when its dark...maybe get some type of light source..?? I might be way of bound here...but is it possible that a flashlight of some sort would do the trick..??

Great initiative OP....and it seems some need a reminder that the players wanting 1st person only servers are NOT the minority. This was clearly shown in other threads and poll a while back. The problem is the majority of server admins enable 3rd person for strange reason. -

Sometimes I will hear alot of drinking and eating sounds...like there is someone eating nearby for 10 mins... So im wondering if the sounds are bugged....can u hear ppl eat/drink unrealistically far away?

God damnit...I could open a can of beans with my bare fingers if I wanted too...the can opener is silly. I mean...if a guy has a pack full of canned beans and he manages to die from hunger because he dosent have a can opener then the dayz dev team must think our characters has a IQ of 20 or less.

OP is basically complaning about two things...1) He sucks at playing dayz so the other players should cut him som slack 2) There are bugs Oh the stupidity

I just run around them and mash the mousebutton...works against 1 zombie or 10 for that matter. Just make it bigger ring u circle them with if there are many of them.

I think that we need a bigger map if we want to expand the gameplay of dayz. Playing as a lone wolf I personally want to build a cabin in the woods and hunt animals to survive...maybe take a trip to the city once in a while for other needs. I dont see this working on the small map we have now.
