Do u feel because u are well known member on the dayz forum that its okey for u to make posts like that?

A poll is not 100% useless if its not taken from a randomized sample. Ur Obama example is equivalent to making the poll on a forum where only 1st person advocates hang out...or only third person advocates hang out. Which is not the case at all. U have not facts or numbers at all to even say anything about mix of 1st and 3rd person players on the forum. As it stand the polls are the only information we have. And to get something straight....even if some divine interference came down and told us the exact number of 1st and 3rd person players, the polls would still indicate that the majority of dayz players prefer 1st person. I as an objective person use the information I have and draw a conclusion based on that...a draw ur conclusion based on...well I dont know really.

Although I dont find ur reply particulary informative or intelligent...its basically say "no ur wrong, I dont know why"...but still ill shoow the polls to illustrate my point for the other forummembers. In regards to what the actual truth is...those that prefer 1st person are certainly not a small minority. My guess is that the truth is fluctuating around 50/50.

As I said in another post...100 paticipants is enough to model a population of 1 million with a 10 % error margin. The problem u have is that u come at my post like ive postulated something to of 100% certainty, I never said that. Ive said that all polls earlier indicates that the majority are those that prefer 1st person....indicates...read it. As I said, i know my statistics...and as it stands now, there is a higher probability that those that prefer 1st person is the majority of the 1 million dayz players. Ofc u bring up valid points in regards to how statistically significant the polls are, u can question all polls made that way...the fact that u wanna call the poll 100% useless really shows me ur lack of statistical knowledge. Neither can u 100% disregard the poll, neither can say its 100% true what the polls indicates...its the nature of statistics, we deal with probabilities. The basic question that was put forward by me was...who is the majority? Polls indicate 1st person players to be the majority. End of story...until someone creates a poll that shows otherwise.

I though I said it pretty clear above...there was to few 1st person servers because the admins enabled both 1st and 3rd to cater to everyone. In my case there was usually 1 or 2 1st person servers to choose from...so there wasnt much choice. The only thing the polls showed was that a majority wanted to play on 1st person only servers if they could choose....how u wanna interpret that is up to u, but to me its pretty clear. Also remember that im speaking of the mod now. As for the standalone I see much more 1st person servers now...and there is no shortage of players on them. My guess is that the polls in the past (dayz mod) showed the server admins that alot of players want 1st exclusively.

Truse me on this...everytime I hear a high pitched, squeamish teenager voice yelling "FRIENDLYYYYY!!!"...I more than ever want to pull the trigger.

Thats not what im saying...what was revelead by the polls what in fact that the majority preferred 1st person servers...but the majority of server admins enabled 3rd and 1st person trying to cater to all players. Which left those preferring 1st person only to play on servers with both 3rd and 1st enabled. At times there was literally 1-3 1st person servers to choose from...if the ping was to high, u where out of luck. U are talking about what type of server ppl play on, im talking about what ppl actually prefer if they could choose. Anyhow...the 3rd person advocates need to get rid of the illusion that they are a clear majority.

A sample of 100 persons is enough to model a population of 1 million with a 10% error margin....my background is two statistics courses at university level, and I use statistics every day in my studies. Most ppl are not aware of this, but u dont need a large sample size to say something statistically significant about a large population.

And what exactly is the problem with the polls that have been conducted before on the matter of 3rd vs 1st person view? And I was not referring to a poll...but all the polls that have been done in the past. If i remember correct there was close to 100 participants on some of the polls.

How many god damn times do we need to remind ppl that 1rs person players are not the minority! All polls in the past indicate 3rd person players to be the minority!

Funny story today...I was in chernogorsk on top of the silobuilding in the middle of town. By a misstake I had logged into a 3rd person server and suddenly bullets fly over my head...thinking the only possible place someone can shot at me is from the neightbouring building thats about the same height as the silo building. I return fire and take cover, so does the other player. Now on top of these buildings the only way to get down is by ladder...so trying to get down would mean the other had a clear shot. So im behind a wall, looking over to the next building using 3rd person...thinking "as soon as he puts his head out I go for a quick shot"...ofc being used to 1st person servers it dawns on me he is also looking over to me using 3rd person. Neither of us have any reason at all to stick our head out. About 3-4 mins later nothing has happend on the other side...by now I assume he logged out, I grab some food (real world food) and eat lunch while my screen is looking over to the other building...im not really playing now. And suddenly 10 mins later the other player fires of a burst and runs over to the ladder to get down. So all the time hes been sitting there on the other side using 3rd person to look over to my side...for like 15 mins! Im kinda perplexed and not sure if I wanna kill him or not. Only on a 3rd person server could a firefirght be that stupid.

They should add that oblivion mod..whats it called, kahjiit wild eyes...awsome. And more masks...all kinds of masks

Today I logged in and cant draw my weapon or open doors etc....basically cant do anything but run around. So I google some and found this post on steam; "Can't make any actionI'm stuck in this condition for over 4 days no matter what I do I cant make any action no to draw my weapon cant eat cant see the map can press tab and see my options of using the item cant open doors can jump over obstacles the only thing I can do is move that's it, I tried to uninstall but for nothing no matter which server I enter at first I thought maybe its because I got too many items in my backpack because I stuff it pretty tightly I think like no other player is doing but it happened after I went from server to server to try and find a day light server while I was at the military base and I just got stuck in this situation which at first seemed like another bug which you can't draw your weapon and do any actions for a few seconds when you enter the game but this is different PLEASE HELP ME!!! i cant play the game for over 4 days find a solution :(((((" 4 days?? I usually prone on top of the firestation at NWAF and use 3rd person to scan the area...then I shot players trying to loot the airfield to punish the players for playing on a server wiyh 3rd person enabled.
