Considering there were only built 176 WA2000s, I don't think they should be in at all, and if they are, at least make them hyper rare. I also don't see the point with antique weapons, but that is just my opinion. For some reason I can't explain, 3D scopes would also limit the effectivity of sniper rifles and other scoped weapons (the ones with high magnification in perticular) for unexperienced users, saw it happening with the sniper rifles for the BF2 mod, Project Reality. Also, making nights lighter and make the NV much more rare, or even completely removing the Night Vision Goggles would make the game more challenging at night for end-game players, it would also make flares, flashlights and weapons with flashlights more attractive and usefull. And most of all it would bring the scare-factor up and help bring back the first experience feeling. Other than that, great list! -
Since DayZ is based on the Take On Helicopters engine.. This map might be possible?

The bandits can hide in the wrecks, waiting for a poor soul to come wandering. While a wookie might lay on a hill or in the lighthouse, and kill, or provide overwatch. -

Black dots: Bridge Red dots: Utes or some other island White dots: If Utes, town names. Note: Shape of the island susposed to be Utes is not correct, but i know the towns can lay in that order if you turn the island a little bit around. AKM=AK47 with static wooden stock. AKS=Folding stock Remington 700 is pretty much the M24, so that would be a waste of modelling time. May i suggest a .357 or .44 magnum, a .22 LR pistol (Ruger .22?), a Mossberg 500 without its buttstock, a M1928 Thompson (Drum mag and forgrip) or a PPSh41 for the eastern block setting. Maybe a Nagant rifle aswell maybe? And of course, chainsaw? Just throwing in some weapon suggestions, please no flaming :) -
Well. A collectable pictures of some models (Mafia 2 style) would be cool and appriciated by the majority of players. Put em in item list, sort off like map, except, you know, this ones more....male friendly. Also, guns getting outworn based on shots fired would be cool beans.(Farcry 2 style) Would encourage people to keep em eastern weapons over the western ones, also to bother to shearch for new weapons. Imagine the big question: Old M107 or a new M24? New M4A1 that last shorter or the long lasting AKM? Is this thread a joke by the way, I honestly cant tell. :P

Well, as said before, I dont have much trouble getting killed by randoms, lately I have been meeting quite a few nice people. Why would I enjoy killing you? Then I would pretty much say against everything i have written in this thread. Your first impression didnt exactly put you in the brightest light in my book, but I dont think thats how you are in real life, neiter do I care. Im not pissed, not at all actually, the reply box is here for a reason right ;) We might just meet in Chernarus one day, and I hope the only dead things will be em zombies. I just find it to easy, to be a bandit in DayZ, because theres not really consequences for killing survivors, decreased sprinting speed and rag around the head. Thats one nice way to start ;) Atleast I think so, and I guess theres nothing more to discuss. So admins, feel free to lock/delete this now.

Nice reply, detailed and stuff. But: - This game is what you make of it and you dont care what people do when playing it. True, this is a role playing game, but its a role playing zombie horror game. - It does not in any way, take away the core concept from DayZ. Its in the very same way that if you choose to jump down a mountain, you will break your bones and need medicine for it. (Morphine). Action has consequences. - Completely unrealistic? PTSD can come back via flashbacks or similar experiences, which means, if they have killed family and friends, they might just get PTSD if they kill again (Similar experience). And the medicine is like for broken legs, for a leg to heal it takes atleast 6 weeks, but ingame it takes 3 seconds. - Equality, yeah, you sorta kicked ass on that one for sure. True, i got nothing on that one. - Schizophrenia? Has nothing to do with it. It would be like putting in phobias for thunder, water, dead stuff etc. My point with this suggestion is not to remove equality, but to add consequences to actions. Guy above me: "You cant just change the rules by yourself" Heard about hackers and corrupted admins? You do have the right to hate and flame me, but you have no right to judge a person you have never met.

Thats your opinion and thats fine, I dont agree with it but I respect it, but unfortunately its not vice versa in this case. You said this game wasnt about balance or fairness, I heard it was about zombies, but zombies are currently no threat to most people. You can easiy shake em off, shots to every part of the body kills. So at the moment the main threat is other people. Which I think needs to be tweaked, annoying part is they kill just to kill, most dont even bother to loot. If its for the gear its fine, or if the individual is a direct threat its about survival. But engagements on unarmed survivors is no threat to you, saying its survival is just an excuse to kill those poor, unarmed people. Saying this because im one of them? Nope, I have 2 M107s, 1 DMR, 1 M14 CCO, 2 M4A1 CCO SD, 1 Mk48, 2 M9 SD up in tents at NW Airfield. Im saying this because I think everybody deserves a chance to survive based on their skills, not because they joined 2 months later then Mr.Wookie MacSniperRookie up on that hill in the outskirts of Elektro. Please dont tell me what games to play, I have civil rights. Thank you if you bothered to read all that though :P

So, I found a hacked crate, personally I took some stuff from it, because its survival. Adapt and overcome, NW Airfield on FR 104, in the barrack in the woods :P Remember guys, karmas a bitch! -
