i have a store bought copy and i am lost.... i think i got it installed(improperly probably) but i keep getting 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_PMC' among other issues and error messages which nobody seems to know how to fix, and i sure as hell cant get into a game. can someone give me a step by step instruction guide to installing the game with a store bought copy and without steam, using day z commander!!!!!!! please i am so agrivated, this game looks so fun but all my efforts have proven to add up to jack shit and i have no idea what i am doing wrong. if you are curious to see the in depth description of what is happening to me look at this thread http://dayzmod.com/f...s-running-dayz/....... since nobody has come forth with a solution on that thread i am starting this one to see if there was a problem with the way i installed it..... the only tutorials i could find all went through steam. Am i the only jackass that bought the game from a store? if i cant fix it, then i was hoping to reinstall it using someone elses way and seeing if that works. THANK YOU. yea i tried that and it isn't accepting my cd key, which is from a store bought copy. I went up to the steam help page and it says only digital copies can be regisered with steam... https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601 so does that mean i am shit outta luck?

is there a way to get steam to see my arma2 and oa games if i didn't buy them from steam? thank you

I am having the exact same problem... has anything you tried worked for this? and I also cant figure out how to run it through steam, I bought the retail copy as well. Please correct me if i am wrong but what you were saying is you need the pmc addon to play dayz?

I found a couple threads with people who have the same problem and nobody said they were able to fix it with any of the adivse offered.... I have resorted to yelling at my computer and threatening to throw it off my balcony but that too does not seem to be working... it was obviously trained well.... I might have to water board it.

well I reinstalled amra and oa, and i'm getting the same messages... has anyone figured this one out before?

I posted my problem on another dayz forum, and the admin told me that he thinks I have corrupted files.... he suggested a reinstall, which I am doing now... I will let you know if it worked

hello i seem to of gotten dayz to install, but something or a couple things are wrong, and I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me. When I launch the game from dayz commander i get the message Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_PMC' I click ok and then it launches the game. When I get to the game menu I get this message No entry 'bin\config.bin/cfg vehicles/soldier _cre_pmc.scope'. If I try joining a game from the in game server list I get a long message that lists 4-5 files and says this about said files: they are not signed by a key accepted on this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional keys. any suggestions? I am not too computer savy so please be as descriptive as possible. I also looked through the oher threads and couldn't find my exact problem so i'm not trying to be lazy :) . I tried deleting the files it mentioned and it kept giving me the same message about the same files.... What is an additional key? thank you
