I have over 2000 hours of dayz played years ago, sadly IRL and other games got in the way and I quit playing. And due to all the hackers I didnt want to return. So I am looking for a whitelist server to avoid any chance of hackers ruining my fun, I got one maybe two IRL friends joining me. We just want a whitelisted server (preferably one with active admins) where me and my friends can roam the map killing bandits and have some good old dayz fun. We normally let "innocent" players live, we never kill fresh spawns unless provoked, and sometimes we like to do some trading, but we are in no way friendly. PS: I dont mind a few vehicles and helicopters etc. but I`d like them to be rare, atleast to the point that it takes more then 5 minutes to find a working vehicle. The same goes for guns and ammo etc. I dont want easymode highspawn dayz. Edit: my and my friends are located in norway and we only play on low ping servers. Meaning below 100ping. We also want to play the arma2 mod and not the standalone on steam

I`m getting 160 ping to your server since I`m inn europe. Is that acceptable? I like to keep my ping below 100 since I dont got the best internett conection, it kinda sucks to be honest. Would prefer a EU server :/ But if 160 ping is ok I`ll give it a try,

Hia. I`ve been playing dayz for some time now. The last 2 months I finaly found a private hive with active admins, but they recently changed from chernarus to taviana.... permanently it seems. And I miss chernarus. I`m looking for a whitelisted server or a server with active admins and no hackers. I got enough of public servers a long time ago. I hate hackers and cba to play on any server where I get killed by a hacker every time I log on for a 6-8 hour gaming session. 22 years old from norway my english isnt good but understandable I`m not good at dayz, but I find the game fun. I like co-operating but I have problems trusting people. I dont consider myself a bandit but dont come runing towards me screaming friendly, if you have a weapon I will shoot. I prefer to talk to people on skype/Teamspeak or skype before teaming upp. I find getting a sniper, and a ghillie suit and camp outside a city watching other people fun. And every now and again if I see 2 people shooting at each other or someone getting ambushed, I shoot the guy that is winning. Thats all I do, if I dont run around looking for vehicles or more weapons and suplies :)

Did something like that once. Had a red golf that stood on the road with 1 broken wheel, my IRL friend hid inn the trunk and I camped inn a bush with my sniper. 2 people comes runing and check the loot of the car, finding akms etc. wich we couldnt bother keeping. So when one went inside to drive I shot the other before he could enter the car. God damn, the dude driving drove away FAST, trying to drive like a drunk man to "confuse" the sniper. Ended upp picking upp his respawned friend, they got some gear. Found ghillie and camo suits, and snipers. Then one time when they stopped my friend popped out from the trunk with his FN fal and killed them both, shot inn the back. Oh god that rage, that moaning and hacker QQing. He hid for 1 hour. He even talked to them inn direct chat once every 10 mins. They responded but just drove away trying to "escape" him. Dayz turns epic when I play together with people xD

Well sorry but english is my 2 language. I learned it through talking with other people online. So if its bad I dont care, people understand me. So no offence when I say dude, grow the f upp and do something else then correcting grammar, we got youtube for that shit ;) And its nice to know I`m not the only bandit with some sence of honor and pride beast101 :)

So after playing dayz for some time, jumping different public servers meeting hackers. I finaly found me a private hive with active admins :) recently they switched from chernarus to taviana but hey a little change doesnt hurt. So yesterday I found a AS50 on a heli crash site and 2xghillie suits. Ofcourse I pick upp the noobsniper and is thinking "I`ll have fun with this". Camping the bridge for an hour I only killed 1 person and got bored so I logged off. Next day I discovered I need food n drinks, so I went over the mountains towards Sabina, the main city, when I check the city for players I see one lonely bus. Thinking "should I shoot or not" it was about 900meters away and my triggerfinger itched. But I surprised myself and instead of shooting I asked who it was, told em to join me on the servers teamspeak, I wanted them to check out a heli wich I thought was a trap for me. Sitting on TS talking to this person we started joking, having fun and generally a good time, so when he bugged on the airport inside a building and broke his leg, I used my last morphine on him. I`ve then been stalking him for 15mins while he was looking for car parts and guns talking with him the entire time. After fixing his legg someone shot at him, I ran into the building and climbed upp on the roof to see if I could surprise whoever shot at uss. 5mins later the dude who killed my recent new friend tried climbing upp the ladder so I shot him inn the head, oh god the rage he was having before getting banned for language harrasment. Good times. Luckily my friend spawned close and got his stuff back. We drove away inn the bus. Later we found 1 VW golf, so we swapped vehicles. Then we found another! So we got one each. Then we met another red golf, who joined us and made a golf club. We drove around joking and talking on TS when suddenly we found another dude inn a red golf! So trusting 1 person instead of shooting him, somehow escalated into me beeing a part of a 4 person vw golf club! We just drove for a couple hours before logging of. Trying to run people over and scaring people and making them laugh at the 4 golfs driving on the road. Trusting people sometimes leads to you having alot of fun, you most likely end upp dead BUT hey its worth to take the risk. So much fun!! So to all you bandits, beeing friendly can be more fun then beeing a bandit ;)

I bought arma 2 for dayz. So I have to buy it again? :S :(

So. I had 6 hours of free time I wanted to spend looking for heli crash spawns and vehicles as well as trying to find and kill bandits with my friend. I got killed by a hacker every 20min on about 20 different private hive and public servers. Why the f**k isnt PW protected servers alowed? WHY? And if they even excist how does one join one? I dont got paypal or any other way of paying for it so..... Do I really have to quit over this? This is the best zombie survivor game I`ve ever played. At night its scary and almost impossible to see the zombies, and at day you need to be carefull not to die to other players. I like this game, I like it alot. But I just cant keep playing it the way it is right now. Last server I was on the hacker spawned so many vehicles my entire pc crashed and I had to reboot to find the server gone and crashed and unplayable. Why dont anyone do anything about hackers? What to do to find 1 god damn hack free server I can have fun on (or atleast as close to hack free you can get)? For anyone with a private server/hive that has a stable group of players and deals with hackers: I`m 22 years old from norway, I`ve played games since I was 5 years old. I`m trustworthy towards people as long as its small groups. I dont want a server where pvp is illegal or where no one kills me/I kill them. Thats boring.

So yeah. I died by a boat to the head. It fell on me from the skies inn Chernov. I dont got proof because I wasnt filming and didnt get a screenshot because it caught me off guard but jeez no more public server. PS: The hacking has become even worse for me after the new security uppdate.... do I really have to quit? :(

A bandit saw me while cooking meat, he startet shooting but he missed and I ran. He just wouldnt give upp and we ended upp inn a game of hide and seek inn a nearby village. That ended inn me just sprinting over a field towards the woods where my ghilly suit would render me nearly invisible innside a bush or some trees. But I heard him shooting again so I turned around and shot him inn the feet thinking "I will not kill a player! Ever!" wich is what I play by. He broke his feet just as planned but he got sorounded by zeds. That had followed him from the village because of him shooting. I heard his weapon click, so i guessed it was empty and took a chance. I do not want to cause the death or kill a player. So I shot the zeds, gave him morphine and bandaged him and even a blood transfusion. He was inn shock IRL. He couldnt belive I`d do that for someone that just tried to kill me. I gave him my gun with some ammo since I had 9 mags for my main wep. He equiped it, aimed at my head and said "I wont shoot you, we are even. Thank you for beeing nice, but you are to nice for your own good. Stop beeing so naive" then he went away and left me to my hunt for fresh water :) I dont care, I`m on day 5 of living. I`ve had the chance of killing many many players, atleast 40 orso inn this life, but I dont. I like laying inn a hill using my bino`s to watch noobs getting killed by snipers and interesting firefights going on with my popcorn out. Why waste my own life for entertainment when I can watch others? xD I guess I`m just a weirdo that rather get my kicks out of watching others kill and die then kill and die myself xD

I started playing dayz without knowing anything about how to play the game or what is what. Inn my opinion just starting to play is the best way. And if you find something you wonder about along the way you just google it lol I`m now on day 3 on my current character. I decided I`ve had enough of getting sniped for going close to cities so atm I`m staying inn the woods hunting animals with a silenced mp5 I found inn a random tent and using 4 field bottles so I wont have to scavenge for soda as long as I remember where to find fresh water. I go to airfields sometimes and found myself a camo suit there once, but crawling to a airfield inn a camo suit I`m nearly invisible. Not taking any more chances. I`ve been playing dayz for more then 1 week now, still hasnt killed another player. but I had a bandit chasing me once, I shot him inn his feet so he fell down and the zed started to eat on him. But I shot the zeds for him and waited to see, he tried standing upp but he lay back down so I guess he broke his feet so I used a morphine on him, he said "sorry for chasing you, Thanks for saving me, I`m happy I didnt loose my AK. I`ll remember this and I wont kill you if I see you again." Beeing nice is a way to survive as well you know. Someone once said, "the easiest way of surviving is making people like you". Its true ;)

Well, its the first thing to do inn the game, loot tents for a awesome main wep. If you do that when you allready have nothing then you got nothing to loose. Also, it should be fairly simple to see what is a trap tent and whats not. For example a tent innside a tree that you can barely see from a distance is most likely not a trap, and tents wich are putt upp inn a group of 3-4 is most likely not a trap either. But tents put inn a place that can be spotted from far away or a random tent put somewhere close to hiding places or inn clear sight of far away places through a opening inn the landscape is most likely traps. Every time before I try to loot a tent I ask myself, "would I put a trap tent here, where would I hide to shoot and how easy is it to snipe this location". Then I will loot it if I see a nice "hidden" route to take either by crawling or hiding inn bushes/trees while looting so I`m hard to snipe. I never wants to die to a sniper or bandit again! Nor will I kill one and become one of them. I will only shoot if I have to.... and the only time I had to shoot someone I shot him so he bled then ran while he hid for bandaging. There was no "was killed" message so I know he survived. I`m no easy newbieprey anymore! xD I`ve used 5 mags of smg ammo to practise shooting on runing/walking/crawling zombies at different distances to get a feel of how to shoot the gun. I`m surprised to find realistic bullet drop and delay at far distances. Has been a long time since I noticed that inn a fps shooter!!! awesome :)

Best way to survive is getting a hatchet, a hunting knife, a water bottle and some matches. And ofcourse some kind of weapon, the more silent the better, or even use your hatchet. Kill animals inn the forest or on far away fields, loot them for meat and cook it using your hatchet to get wood and your matches to light a fire. When you got empty field bottles you just fill them inn fresh water lakes. Then atleast your survive and your trip to cities or villages becomes more a thing of finding nifty cool loot and good looking guns rather then a must to survive :)
