Going into a bit of detail here. This game to me is about survival... Yeah, this would seem to be a no brainer here, but quite a few have gotten this all wrong imho. In a survival situation, you have primary/secondary goals. Unfortunately to many PvP hounds keep turning this game into a deathmatch. I don't give a shit what all of the CoD and BF players think of how they want to play DayZ. Some of the headline selling points of this genre are "to survive" in an apocalyptic situation. Its a sandbox, so those of you that want to play as if you have infinite lives, and zero consequence to dying/restarting rinse and repeat, then by all means. But for those of us that want to role play the shit out of the SA, then certain aspects of real survival are critical. This discussion, in regards to the role playing aspect, is what has made me take certain choices within this poll. Seriously, don't respond to my comment if your interested in deathmatch. Im not telling the PvP players not to play, im simply explaining why the role playing crowd should consider their choices based on the needs of survival. 1) Getting your primary survival goals accomplished asap are, Food, Water and shelter. 2) A way to maintain your permanent survival requires a way to build and maintain stores of supplies. This seems to upset a specific type of player. I.E. We should get rid of tents, storing gear is bullshit, why should we have locking doors, or a way to bury gear??? Well for the survivalist role players, we need ways to store gear, to keep it safe for future reloads. Because its what your taught in survival situations...thats why "we" need this type of mechanic in game. My vote was (and I wanted 10 choices, not 5 :( ). 1) Camo netting (Not just for cars bases, but for tents as well) 2) Bury items gear 3) Lockable doors (hopefully this would include vehicles) 4) Tandem bike (Because its bad ass :D ) 5) Fishing for food (Simple, its another survival need) I know their are people that don't agree with my reasoning with this, but I have spent months at a time in the Cascade Mountain range, behind my home in Oregon, and survival is not Bear Grylls, that guy would get your ass killed in hours. Its about basic needs, and with out safe storage, it makes it unrealistic to me. Fingers crossed... reading all the choices made me drool a bit B)

Not here to complain, just want to ask the admin of this Vigilantaddiction server US2253 a question. Tonight at 3:50 am, I was admin banned from your server. The only player on at the time was PLAYER 1 so I am assuming this was the admin that choose to ban me. I know everyone says the same thing, but you guys on the forums, should know by now, I don't have any use for cheating, hacking or scripting... Other than a few typos in my posts I do my best to not misrepresent any of my actions or story, don't feel I treat anyone in a bad manner or with out respect and enjoy playing fairly. I really cant understand why I was banned, I have been playing on your public server for a month or 2, have not really changed my load out other than maybe the secondary weapon. Hell I play as a Hero Medic/Engineer and never KoS. As for the correct format for this topic, it is more of a simple question as opposed to a complaint or Ban appeal. I do have a bit of gear that is important to me on your server, but I guess if its something you feel I have done that's something you can not have players doing on your server, then just an explanation is all I am asking for. I have found and repaired many vehicles and Heli's on your server, only to be kicked by "script restriction #20" after driving or flying these vehicles with in 10-30 minutes. So if anyone plays with, or knows the admins or server renter, let em know I have requested an explanation. This sounds to me, as well as most, that you don't give a shit... your the one that wrote it bud. As for banning people, I have no issues with banning every asshole that hacks. Were you saying that I was the guy that got banned for teleporting? I did ask for an explanation, but to be honest, your lack of concern seems to be evident if I am to believe what you meant with the following quote. Why is your community supporting Dayz servers, if this is the way you feel about maintaining them? No worries, but I do not teleport. My last thread was about my concern for hackers giving the unsuspecting player this ability. If you read what I wrote, I am sure you will find I have ZERO desire to castrate a game I enjoy by doing scripting/hacking/cheese theft.... Its seems like a waist of time for me, but I do like cheese.

I would play more 1st person if my damn Trackir 5 would stop freaking the hell out on me. I play with my face about 1.8 to 2 feet from my monitor, so that might be causing the issue. But with out the TRK5, landing a heli in a tight spot is a bit much. George Clooney: "Damn.... were in a tight spot"

The internet way of life has allowed many people to act/do what ever they please, due to the lack of consequence. The idea of one name, one key, could help place some of that well deserved consequence.

I am playing on server US2253 and it says that the F1 menu is activated, and I can teleport by using the alt key from with in the map screen. I found this on accident trying to place a map marker and thought a hacker was porting me, so I quickly logged. Upon logging back in, I got this message. I tried it again, and sure enough, I am able to teleport. I logged off immediately to come post my concerns. It does not do this on any of the 5 servers I like to play on, but I am really worried that this is going to show on some ones doc.files. I did not do this, I do NOT hack... I despise little fuckers that take away my "earned" weapon stores just to cause some one grief. Am I at risk for this crap??? Thx and apologize for this not being in a bug report, as they never seem to post any of the topics I try to start.

I have seen quite a few Arma II sessions where the radios have multiple channels. Now this would be a great and easy fix, and it does not break the realism. In fact it adds a great amount of depth, the need to locate a radio to communicate over greater distances.

The Dayz.St servers have the option to allow side chat. I doubt they would allow "anything" that the official rules don't allow. Ersan and the Dayz.St guys are very strict about any offense to these rules. I have found many of the public servers listed in commander that allow the side chat. That's about all I can say. As for them altering the files, I would be better off learning Greek... im a computer dipshit to be dead honest. :|

In the event you dc, or somehow get logged out by some other means, as long as the vehicle is not moving, you can log into a different server(if playing on publics), move a few feet, then relog into the server. If its private, you can attempt to log back in, remain still and scroll wheel to attempt to find the "enter back seat", or "driver seat". I have found that unless the vehicle is moving when you log back in, you can remain still, do not rotate or move, then you have a decent chance of scrolling into a seat.

How did this happen though? I had adjusted my brightness and Gamma, then switched back to the map screen. Just don't understand how I would have received the ability. Is it possible for hackers to give all the potential players specific ability's?

After the vehicle launch, you start the excited laughing and it almost rolled me out of meh chair. Love that uncontrollable laugh feeling, good shit indeed.
