Hello DayZ community. My name is Turtles and I am posting this to ask if there is anyone around in these parts of the interwebs who would like to join a DayZ series I am going to record for my young YouTube channel. I don't mind if you are a bandit or a hero, just as long as you don't kill members in the group, go nuts. The series is primarily going to be on vanilla DayZ, meaning the Chernarus map. The map may change eventually if it gets boring. I have done a few videos with this clan that I am in but most of the clan have stopped playing in a group so I am looking for a new group. The only general requirements are that you need to be 16 or older, exceptions can be made depending on how you behave. I have nothing against younger players, I just know that people don't generally enjoy watching YouTube videos if there is a young preteen screaming into the microphone every chance given. And behavior such as that does irritate me if it continues. I am a semi-serious DayZ player, meaning that I don't mind if the group is generally laid back and just screwing around but when a firefight occurs I expect some sort of seriousness, at least until one side is eliminated. In addition, no sore losers. It's a game, its fun to win but in the case of DayZ, it is also fun to lose. I am an Australian, so I may be on at odd times if you're from a different country. The group accepts all nationalities. If you don't speak fluent English as if you were Mr Bean himself, that doesn't bother me as well. As long as you can understand certain phrases and reply in certain phrases, doesn't phase me, I own a small 10 slot TeamSpeak 3 server, so I am only looking for around 3-6 other group members. TS3 is also a must as any other communication seems like an alien planet to me. If interested, please post below. -
Custom DayZ Map?

Yeah, I'm in no hurry. I'm assuming it will take a long while for the map to actually be fully working with DayZ so an extra few days can't hurt. -

Custom DayZ Map?

I can honestly say I have never used Source SDK, however I can answer that it isn't very hard to make a map for Arma II. ARMA doesn't exactly have a lone tool to be used, it is more like a collection of several tools that can be used together. A good tutorial is this; http://community.bis...errain_Tutorial I misworded my initial thread, I meant to ask if anyone knew how the process worked. xD -
Hey guys, Mr Turtles here. This is my first post, thought I would make it count. I am currently working on a custom map for ARMA II and I was wondering if there were anyway to make it work with DayZ mod? I know how to design the map itself, I have been following tutorials and such. I just have no clue as to how to get it to work with DayZ. The map I am working on is based in some snowy mountains, it will have some hillside towns and villages near a lake along with some random cabins around the more forested areas. How would I go by making it work with DayZ? (Randomized spawns, zombie spawns, loot spawns.). Any help would be appreciated, any dickery would not. (Sorry if in wrong section, the map would only be hosted on a private hive so I assumed this would be an appropriate section.)
