    The helo is supposed to be the pinnacle of loot in terms of requiring organization and such. Add more aircraft and you just degrade that kinda level. The only real thing I would like to see is a technical truck with the option of mounting SAWs and other guns on the back.
  2. Giving none-lethal options for players is a must if they expect the Dayz community to turn back from its shooting on site policy. A Rifle butt to the head to knock someone out, maybe the ability to tie someone up(with of course mechanics in place to keep it from being abused). So yes this is a good idea.

    You can only do as much as the game engine allows Dismemberment would probably not be possible without some major re haul of the engine. Same with things like separate instances and underground structures not pre-built into the map.

    I think people have misread what I'm trying to suggest. The whole event would last 30 minutes or so and acts like a random event in the regular Dayz game. You might be randomly playing and all the sudden the you could have 5 well armed soldiers trying to kill you. Or maybe your chilling in a city and all the sudden a black hawk lands nearby. It offers players a chance to play a role as a higher power without actually sacrificing the environment that Dayz brings.

    but this something that could go into public servers as well. If some nooblet decides to kill his entire team of then its not a loss as you won't lose any equipment. You can add a time limit on missions as well to keep people on track or limit damage if they tried to abuse it.

    Hi, I'm recently new to the DayZ community and would like to offer a suggestion Part of the problem with people that think they know how to Role play is they simply don't. If someone says freeze I can't how many times they just continue on sprinting like I'm not going to shoot them from not halting. I learned threw varies RP experience on other games its neccary to train people to properly react to there world. Kinda like how you learn to be a better actor these forms exist in things like select your class and such but I prefer more better ways. So I present to you guys this. Black Ops Event Black Ops is a random event that allows players a uniqe role as a team of mysterous well armed soldiers with even more mysterous objective. They can be disguished by there jet black uniforms and high end equipment. Conditions to starting the event: The event can be set to start at random times and when a certain player population is met(I.E a server of 5 players wont have it.). When it starts 5 random players get a message offering them to join a Black ops team, they have a certain time to accept and may refuse to do it. If the player refuses the message will be sent to another random player. Upon all players accepting the invite they will all be transported to the (random)LZ area Being a Spec Ops: Your skin will be tempory swapped out as a black ops soldier (think kinda SWAT only black attire). Your communication will also have its own channel for your team. Your inventory will be tempory swapped with a good selection of military grade hardware. You will even have a chance to aquire some things normally not aquireabe. You will often have a vehicle or vehicles at your dosposal as your objective is quiet a distance away. (Vehicles despawn after server reset to keep from farming.) Your equipment will instantly despawn when you die (This is to mostly keep people from farming each other.) you will then be back to your orginal charicter at whatever location you teliported from. You will be insta killed for Tking teamates. Random Variables: To keep things interesting on each mission certain variables will be randomly rolled on they are as follows As mentioned above your equipment is randomly givin to you. It will generally be set up so you have a bit of everything among your team (Shotgun guy, sniper, engineer, ect) Vehicles will be randomly given they have a black skin and will range from a HMMWV to a black hawk(maybe V-22 Osprey?) Rules of Engagement will be randomly rolled as well. Some missions might let you gun down all you see others may require you to only kill others if in self defence(killing players will result in mission failed and end the event.). The Missions: The missions are randomly generated and will try to place a good distance between you and the target. Most but not all missions will "ping" the location to other survivers as well to make things intresting. The missions are as follow Server retreaval: A server is located in a random urban area, your team must go there and plant a hacking device on it. They must wait a certain amount of time(based on random again) before the device is done getting the information and then you must blow up the server. A announcment will go out to all players that something strange is happening in that town as well.(mainly to attract players). Target Elimination: A rogue scientist(randomly chosen player) disguised as a bandit has been identified and is required to be eliminated. His last known location is displayed on the map at the start of the mission. This requires you to track him down old fashion style and eliminate him Target Retrieval: Identifying a potentail scientist who is dsguised as a hero(randomly chosen player) who might be able to cure the outbreak requires retreaval. However someone has planted a tracker on him that broadcast every minute his location to anybody! You must rescue him and bring him to a designated LZ to be picked up. Reward: For all surviving members after they accomplish the mission they are allowed to keep there weapons and spare ammo when they respawn as normal survivors. If there is no room in there inventory it will drop to the ground next to them. The point of this: To give players a role as a elite team of operatives with a defined goal. It gives you a taste of the high life of not having to just survive yet it doesn't take away the essence of it when you return back to normal.
