Matters-not. Better to res an old topic than to throw an other layer of the same-ole on top. When I have issues with no z or loot, Id take a jog about 100m+ and wait a few..It may take upto a minute but when I see a z-appear I know Im g2g. Make sure you're not staring at whatever building/area you want loot/z to appear from, while you wait those few.

Most servers have warnings about logging out before server restart. Ive seen this happen/had this happen to me. "Player Rollback" (it loaded the last 'save' it has for you...which was on the coast) or when the server thinks you've "combat-logged" ie;BE crashing/not responding ('if' that server has that script/addon), strips you of your gear and punts you to the coast. I believe you'd be 'better-off' going to that servers forum boards. Try taking a break every hour'ish (Abort to lobby, wait a minute and rejoin) That "should" (I dont run a server so not 100%) save your players info to the server.

Perhaps its your PC thats riddled with bugs? First time I've heard of Launcher not detecting mods/installing proper addons. IMO, I'd prefer to the use the officially supported Play with6 but lately, I cant get it's bikeys to work with the servers I join. Same happened with DZC. Launcher came along and basically did everything for me and most-importantly (for me), the bikeys worked.

I wouldnt recommend disabling any software protection. <_< Similar to saying your can drive faster without a seatbelt. Perhaps post a screenshot of what your ingame graphics settings are. What 'kind of' server do you play on most? Vanilla DayZ, Epoch, Origins? Heavily populated? Empty..ping'n@ "x" ms?

That must point to the \Steam\SteamApps\common\ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead folder. I see you have both the DayZ Mod and the Beta (obsolete). I use DayZ Launcher so I do not have a need of either of these two "pieces of s" on my Steam.

By chance do you have the DayZ Mod, obsolete beta STeam installs, as well? I ask because of the "CMD Window" comments. You have launched both Arma 2 & OA to menu screen (perhaps adjust settings, create a player profile)? How/What program do you serch/connect to servers? (from withi Arma 2<add ip, Pay with6, DayZ Commander, DayZ Launcher?)

DayZ Launcher. Recently reinstalled Arma lineup and installed the usual Play with6. bikeys were rejected on every server I tried. I try DZC, same nonsense. Bad bikeys, missing content, no joy. Download&Install DayZ Launcher, picked a server..It tells me what mods Im missing and ask if I would like to download&install "Yes"..Not an issue since!

By chance, do you hear audio (birds, waves, wind)? When I get a similar problem I just "Left Shift"&"numpad -", type "flush" Hope it helps.

My love for DayZ outweighs my hate for Steam but I can understand your POV. Steam is required to play any of the Arma lineup now which makes me wonder why this guide isn't on the Steam page where it is needed!

I dont understand the "loaded question" part, could you reiterate? Notice loot piles disappearing while new loot piles would 'spawn' while crouch-walking through houses. Tried to comfirm but the zombies kept jumping through the walls. Reminds me exactly of the mod, last-year, right-down to the houses created in 1991.

It shows Play WIth6 searching your documents folder for mods. Shouldn't change your 'mods directory' (options<settings<game settings) to your programs folder/steam folder (where-ever you've installed arma and those mods)

For the mod-side, could your pid# be associated with the name when the character if first created on a particular-server and 'locked' so no-matter what name you've chosen-since, it'll change to the 'original' while that character is 'alive' for that particular server?

You have your 'Commander' setup to look in the @DayZ folder? I use this page to set my DayZ up. Hope you get ingame soon! Let 'Commander' download the DayZ mod/OA_Beta. If it mucks-up, you'd just have to right-click Arma2 OA and verify file integrity.

And you've downloaded and installed the Epoch mod, via 6Launcher or DayZ Commander, eh? Had similar problems with Tavi. Read 'on the nets' and tried copy&pasting (I know there's a better-way. Could one explain in detail how?) the .pbo's&.bisigns from the @Taviana Addons folder to the @DayZ Addon folder. It worked.

Buy the whole CO+DLC collection! :D TONS of mods/maps for the Arma linage with or without the DayZ toppings. Check out a site like Armaholic.com

Do you have 'use beta exe checked'? (don't know exact wording as I use Play with Six) Not sure you'll need it. Random thought regarding linking to community page.

-noCB Turns off multicore use. It slows down rendering but may resolve visual glitches. Perhaps that would help?

Need some computer-specs. CPU count and @speed?. Ram type&amount. Graphics card. Hard drive speed (sata 1,2&3. cache size?) Perhaps checking exThreads section?

These random blue-screens happen in single-player, as well? Starcraft and Newerth (or any orther RTS) aren't 'really-comparable' to Arma II/DayZ. Had blue-screens a couple of times. Putting v-sync on and lowering my refresh to 60 cured-that (perhaps not directly but.. ;) ) Hope you find a software solution, rather-than a hardware problem :thumbsup:

Clicking "ok" doesn't continue with loading the map/entering the server-world? That always works for me.

5 second search on google. Be nice if server's were required to provide contact info for these things. ;) Hopefully you get a response ( I guess, these-days, it's not a requirement needed)
