Long story short. I ended up installing SIx Updater for mod installs and Commander for server browsing. I have the feeling that between steam, commander and six I have Lingor, Cherno mods installed a couple of times :lol: :blush:

I have a bandit, a hero or a ghillie suit to trade for a pair NVG. To me, I dont believe it's of equal trade (but Ive found almost a dozen ghillies since I started playing and not one NVG) and I see people wanting the ghillie 'ard. idk if the hero/bandit skins are nothing but civilian suit that'll change depending on your humanity :huh: Throw a PM with offer/counter-offer are even a wish list. I dont have a vehicle but got parts stored in various locals.

Would rejoice if I could see in the dark. I usually play throughout the night so 'good-ping' servers, for me, are always pitch-black. Broke my legs two-time during the past-week trying to play at night :rolleyes:

LOL, two video cards that each-alone are worth more than the whole system :rolleyes: (btw, that 520 GT is about half the 'power/bang' than a 220. Models have 'different varients'. Crap, if one buys by model-name alone without looking at the details. Check out sites that show things like pixel fillrate, texture fillrate and memory bandwidth, along with PWR/AMP requirements (may need higher amped PSU). Personally, I plan on buying a 280GTX. Alomst 5x the performance than my 240 GT and only $100. I enjoy what my 240 does for DayZ so I think it'll be a good-buy. Perhaps a SSD in SATA3 flavour. If you have the Win7 disc, like I did, I put my O/S & system software on SSD on everything else like games&media on my old HHD. Speed PC up mega in every aspect. Speed Holes. Screwdriver+Hammer=Turbo Charge. Other than speed-holes, perhaps cleaning up the case, buy one of those flashly led 120mm, 240mm B) case fans. Keeps system cooler, flowing, looks deadly and is quitier, overall with more airflow.

FIrst heli crash site I came across was yesterday. Thought it was completely barren...except for the as50 lying a meter to the side :D It can happen. Probably the only I'll see one without the barrels-end my way :lol:

That's madness. All these "scripts" can tele peeps to where-ever, change them into whom-ever and all devs& server admins can do is meh, what-ever?!. Is there not a server that DayZ could set-up..Doesn't even have to be the real deal, just something, script even so if someone logs into the server but are off-map are "tele'd" the closest-edge. Done .

DayZ install wiki (with Steam overlay) I did this to make it work with Steam. Make a shortcut to launch ARMA2 Beta with Steam Overlay (Optional) Instructions Open Steam. Click the Games menu. Click Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library. Click Browse. Navigate to, most likely, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta. If you are not running 64-bit Windows, remove (x86) from the path. Choose arma2oa.exe. Click Open. Click Add Selected Programs. Open your Steam Library. Right-click arma2oa in your games list, and choose Properties. Rename it from "arma2oa" to "DayZ". Set the Target to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" -nosplash If you had to modify the path in step 5, do so here as well. That's why it is in form of a question. ;) Noticed to, everytime you go to use an item, you get the same 'error' that happens when you use something when after spawning-in. (1st item you 'use' after logging in :rolleyes: ) That video is either a bunch of segments in un/order? or you log out and in alot. The speaking in group chat is funny.. Seems a small group of people have a grudge against these peoples-servers. Theyah haten . -edit IMHO, why not these people who know how to script 'more-then-less' permanent buildings make some content. Make some 'bases', more towns or perhaps(if they're more than cut&paste scripters)mods like for transport (lets see some MadMax stuff, eh!? :D) Possible, instead of raging on a server that banned you for nonsense/disruption?

Met a cool-dude who offered me a gun and a guided-tour to the NWA. Along the way, we stopped to cook some rotten goat some bandit-skinned dude "pops by". I mean he was floating in air with form of lame no-clip. He lays an CCO SD M4 on the ground and starts doing (what I thought was "G"ear) animations. My guide says it's best we bounce, I agree and we run for the airfield (minutes after a heli flew by, btw)..KA-BLAMMO Tree's go flying, bastage was detonating c4.. Other and I OMGWTF, look back to see the flogger flying again towards us and I believe he had c4 strapped to himself cause he was exploding every 5 seconds but not dieing. I bailed before he caught up. Uploading pix to link in a few.

The first three are of him bouncing up and down like a basketball. The forth is him doing animations and the last is of me just getting a players list before I bailed. If I had extra disk space, I'd install a fraps-like but..meh, too busy trying to survive DayZ. ;)

It's either hidden (by someone else) and the corpse is about 3 feet under (ever hide a corpse on a second floor or stairwell ^^) or turned into a zombie, itself :o . Can you hear flies near where you died?

I have a friend who just bought a 7770 for BF3. He really enjoys what it does for him. The 640 GT (there's like 4 different versions with different configs.) with it memory speed @ 5 GHz (the other 3 have under 2 GHz) would compare with the 7770. For the price of the 7770, you could buy a 650 GT. I will be buying this at months-end. Older but twice the card of both the 640 GT and 7770 combined.

This desync is the reason why you were never given the "Male"/"female" option when creating your new character/logging back in?

Invisible objects, missing textures etc. Right click ARMA 2 in STEAM - 'Properties' - 'Local Files' - 'Verify integrity of game cache'. Try changing your ingame video settings. ?

Download and install beta patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php (Latest patch is in the green field top of page) If you are met with a "Password screen" then choose the top version on page (Not in the green field) Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca". Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing! You may create a new shortcut to "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" ?

Since the talk is about Commander or Launcher, I have a question about the DayZ maps and these two programs. Lingor, Panthera..What programs installs the right maps? I used Commander, no worries. Read on this site how SixLauncher is supported one so I start 'updating' (and I guess 're'installing) DayZ. Thought Launcher had a nice interface, way easy/cool to see what was installed/needs to be installed/updated...But now I cant play Lingor..States Im missing crap from ibr_lingor but I cant even...meh..What one for 'official'/right maps?

I'd stay away. I'm not an Intel fan but seeing that it (x51) sports either a i3-2120 or a i5-3450..Neither of them are one of the best of their class..Same with the 640.660+(no SE models) anything less than is just a shell filled with unsold 400/500 class model.. 2 Ram slots that'll take 4gig sticks max.."Upto 6 GB total...idk what math they're using..hrm, already on the razors-edge for being outdated. Biggest disadvantage of buying retail..99% it'll be the slowest FSB/HT mobo, can only support the 'lesser' CPU's (watt-wise) and graphics will either be integrated or of such a low-caliber that one would only achieve total-frustration when playing games. CPU's are mostly weak (and dont be fooled by model names. research the difference between a AMD 240 and your 240e. That 640 is 2x the card my 240 is..but since the memory bandwith is only half of what mine has...I win, 640 stutters, by design.and dont forget all that awesome POS 3rd party software/trials that are installed for "your benefit" Biggest Advantage of buying retail..Pre assembled, installed copy of Windows, probably has a sleek, shinny case...with a 300w PSU..err, that one isnt an advantage.

Desktop, I would not look at the same as I would a game, unless its one of those 3d-interactive desktop "programs". IMHO, your gfx card cripples your system(in regards to gaming). Have you tried messing with not the gfx setting but the screen sizes? If you notice the different resolutions I set for interface and graphics.

Needs "Friendly Suit" lol, black dove on white arm band? Perhaps takes a tool-slot, always active if in tool belt, non active while in inventory/backpack.

That's normal. When you goto play OA, "I" get an option dialog box asking if I want to play Arma 2, OA or CO. It's there, just not a game itself. Saw the warning and cancelled out? What warning?
