Are you reffering to the folder or .exe? Sounds a little involved but "if you feel the need", perhaps when you goto check on permissions, click the "edit permissions" first, so you'll go the "right window" to edit USER permissions? Worked for but for something totally unrelated.

I believe that there shouldn't be too-much if any lag between you and your server. Perhaps the server-hoster is adding extra steps to ensure that the rcon comm isn't doing illicit. Do you have 'good-ping' between your server-provider and yourself? (like under 50) and the server itself is stable (no ijitz with 150, 200, 300+ ping's?) Are you using other chat programs while r'con'n? twitter, facebook, steam even youtube videos. I mean no offence if you know the basics of internetz, 'ping/lag/response', computing power and all the side-dishes but some cant fathom running yt, twitter, fb, wm-player (your system) response will slow. May not be an internet/lag but software, when to allow this-or-that program access to system-resources.

ASUS K55VD-SX234S GeForce 610M would comparable to an GeForce 7700 :blush: aop suggesting, AT LEAST an 640M is sound-advice. If you dont absolutly need a laptop..dont. If you game you WILL BE ALWAYS disappointed. Tommes suggesting an ssd is ace!, as I installed one a couple of months ago and its like having a newer-updated 'puter. Been noticing that the game will minimize itself from time to time. Mostly, if Im alt+tabbing to look at maps/etc and alt+tab back into game..it'll do it once more (without me hitting alt+tab). At first, thought it was random but it's getting more-frequent

Reading the original post in it's original format leads me to believe it's user-error. Perhaps the "M" 580 GTX that makes DayZ go plop! That "M" makes your 560M GTX half as powerful as a 560 GTX.

Do you play through Steam. I've read that they (Steam) recommend; Login to Steam Click Steam > Settings > In-game. Uncheck the box next to Enable Steam Community In-Game Restart Steam and test this issue once more. I'm guessing you have a socket 775 mobo. DDR 1, 2 or 3? Sata 1, 2 or 3? "FSB"/HT? 4gigs of ram? Was this a "store-bought" PC? Do you run a 64-bit O/S? Onboard Audio? (do you know what chipset it is?)

It would really be a convenience that every person/group that wants to share a DayZ server be REQUIRED to have contact information. Keep getting kicked after about 5~8 minutes. Ask for help/admin with 20+ in sidechat and only response is "Friendly in Cherno?" I'd like to know if it's server/game or admin doing this, as a server/game issue could be fixed but an admins attitude rarely can. Cant find name or IP in search. Found on google but refers to an other trying to contact admins.

I started off finding a 24slot coyote bag, m4 and a glock on a dead body, medical tents Cherno. Found a M14 on a heli crash site with an ammo box (not cardboard but a little black ammo box) had 10 clips each STANAG reg & SD. idk why I'd be booted.(msg said "You were kicked by Admin:") Asked one question about if just the bike and bus dont save or any vehicle..but yeah, plenty of other servers.

Perhaps this would help. Has Arma 2:OA install. I see what you mean. I have you tried the right-click setup & run as admin? Are you getting this problem when the autorun pop's up? (if you disabled autorun)

Hey, I was more than less befriended by someone who I believe to be, or stalked by script-wizards and wanted to start over. I figure if I joined a Private Hive, that'd do it. Started using Six, as Commander hides the update installed maps whutnaught. Seemed good but Six has no recent history and I accidently logged into a normal Chenarus map..I logged right into my old character in the same local...I thought wtf, did I just delete that new/other toon? Look for a while, found the server and logged in..Normal, new toon had his gear as well. How many characters/profiles per map? One each for Public and 1 Private?

Perhaps the wrong version of Arma 2 and not the maps/mos installed?

Murderer 1. Never even "scoped you out" (as far you knew). Never made a demand, gesture or communicated. Did not loot or gain from your death. (other than one-less paranoia :lol: ) Bandit 2. Though an absolute rook or dim-troll, he did "act-out" or (idk if the word is allowed :D ) "RP" a robbery but he ended up dieing as well.

That's saddening to think that there is 'nothing' for admins/hoster/dev to look/meddle with to know where/when and how player x got item z and for reason y.. Imagine if you didnt like someone and figured being a saddist to them is appropiate. Befriend them, give them some hacked-gear and then call foul and hope they'll be banned for all the wrong-reasons.
