Serious rise in Hackers over the past month?

Indeed it would, but I find without the risk of bumping into players the game is missing a huge aspect to it. I do love the fear forcing me to play carefully.

I have every intention of doing so when I get home. Do you have strict latency restrictions on your hive? I'm based in Thailand so the latency to Aus is "ok". And probably my best bet for finding a hive in a similar time zone.

    Define a bandit

Do you think a lot of people (I think it must be an increasing majority) are drawn to a more bandit/murderer style of play because the game lacks "end-game"? ie once you have a pistol and a means of foraging food and water you have essentially beaten the zombie survival part of the game? I'd love for there to be more to do re-surviving. Perhaps the underground fortresses Rocket has talked about will make players less CoD-ish 'kill on sighters'
  4. So I had been away from the game for about a month before coming back to it this week. Am I just unlucky or has there been a huge rise in hacking over the last month? For example: today I was teleported on no less than 3 occasions. Encountered 2 invulnerable terminators and saw 4 hacked weapons on corpses. My friend who I play with gave up after being killed for the 3rd time by a hacker. These events occurred on a number of different high-population servers. I'm currently playing on US servers as I'm travelling and these give me better latency. Normally at home I play on Asia-Pacific servers so perhaps it's been an issue for those of you in the US all along, but I can't imagine to this extent. Anyone else noticed a rise in hacking lately?

    Define a bandit

It would be interesting to hear what different people consider to be "bandits". My personal playstyle (though I often change between a few when starting a new character) is this: 1) Are you a threat to me? yes = Attempt to kill unless a suicide mission, in which case haul ass. 2) Do you have something I need/want? yes = Attempt to kill, no = avoid 3) Did you just spawn on the coast? yes = I'll leave you be, perhaps even kill some zombies that are after you. Would you consider that bandit play? The way I see it, there isn't a divide between bandit or survivor, it's just shades of grey. In fact, apart from a friend I play with regularly, I have met 1 person in the last 2 weeks who did not attempt to shoot me on site (granted some may have been hiding and waiting for me to pass). I feel by what was the original definition of a bandit a long time ago, 95% of players would be considered bandits now. I believe this is because 'surviving the zombie threat' has become to simple, and there isn't any real end-game apart from PvP (but those are different topics). So post what you consider to be banditry. Do you consider yourself a bandit? do you consider the person above you to be a bandit?

    SVD NSPU. Hacked?

I opted to ditch the Sniper, but kept the rest of the gear. I've looted NVG and Rangefinders plenty of times before off dead bodies, so I don't feel like I'm giving myself an unfair advantage in doing so, whereas with the gun I felt I was. Just so happens that I know the location of a camp which tends to have some decent rifles in it, so I'll try sneak in there later and hope to find something good

    SVD NSPU. Hacked?

Thanks all. Will dispose of it ASAP. I am aware the answer was probably hacked, but I only just started paying again after a month or so away so I was unsure if they had added any new guns

    SVD NSPU. Hacked?

Hey all, So I get killed by a hacker (I unloaded 5 AS50 rounds into him, before I magically die without getting hit) and was running back to my corpse in the hope of reclaiming some of my items. I stumble across two dead survivors and one of them has the attached sniper on them - SVD NSPU (SVD with night vision). I grab some of their other loot (higher end stuff - NVG, RangeFinder, GPS etc) and head for the nearest tree to log out. I have ZERO intentions of using a hacked gun, and I am fairly sure this is but if I can just get confirmation from someone that it is or isn't I will dispose of it ASAP. Thanks in advance.
