Change the M136 to something more usefull?

SMAW and RPG-7 are interchangeable Its more of a high tier weapon, not really something a newbie with painkillers will carry around more of something carried by Bandits who travel in packs Thats what i stated the RPG-7, to have the exact same weapon but less of the space wastage. The M136 is already a high tier weapon, but its just one of those weapon thrown into tent because no one wants it. Trying to take down a chopper is near to impossible unless your carrying around an AS50 or M107. The M136 is useless in Arma itself. I played plenty of Arma to know this, I prefer a SMAW or the RPG-7 over it anytime -
Title says it all To take a the m136 is a mega sacrifice, to loose a backpack and to take 6 slots of your main inventory meaning you only have 6 slots (excluding the pistol inventory) for food and main rifle ammo. For this shouldn't we be given a more a beneficial weapon? the m136 is at the moment down right useless unless your travelling in a really big pack Now i want to hear the rest of the community These are the weapons in the poll FIM-92F Stinger (AA and AT): Takes up the exact same amount of space as the M136 but to offer both AA and AT lock on gives it more of a purpose than the M136 Strela-2 9K32 (AA): Pretty much the same as the stinger but only locks on to helicopters M47 Dragon (TOW): Takes up the same amount as M136, but doesn't have a lock-on feature but rather follows where your pointing at FGM-148 Javelin (AT): Just as much as the M136, but only AT for taking out those run away cars RPG-7V (No-lock, Rockets only take 2 slots per rocket): Takes away your backpack but to have 3 rockets, for the same damage and less space.

My apologizes i was very mad at the time this happened, not being to do anything and the timer was set to infinite while waiting for your friend to come from novy sobor to the shores of kamenka is very frustrating. Never really thought about it from that point of view, i do agree with the "main purpose of preventing people from avoiding gunfights." and what i meant by "removing it" was removing it and implement it back when its fully fixed

Highly agree with that. but wouldn't there be a problem for laggy players? Im pretty sure the infinite timer of shock is very related to shock itself. its to point out how buggy the current shock system is atm. its just an annoying mechanism in general, not being todo anything for 10 minutes just watching the screen. at least being able to kill yourself while in shock is enough

A little story, i knew at least 5 snipers in elektro but i risked it, i got killed by an as50 (oh well). but as soon as i re spawned i was in shock status with broken bones and bleeding. the problem is im unconscious in the middle of nowhere on shore in my ghillie suit, and the meter does not move at all i waited 10 minutes (which is the usual time) but it didn't even move an inch. Long story short: -Shock is just a bad part of the game, its buggy and useless. i mean, seriously name 3 advantages expect for a weapon against alt f4 - It disables everything and the only thing u can do is alt f4, hence maybe it also encourages alt f4 -Survivors rarely carry epi-pen, its better to have a blood bag than an epi pen. - Its just a time waster - You would probably be dead before you even reach shock, then you tend to reach shock status in the next life (like my story above) - If you alt f4 to escape a near death PVP combat, you would just server hop and do 10 minutes and just regen everything again - Your teammate may just be dead already before reaching shock in general Suggestions: - Remove it in general - Fix it - Allow the Epi-pen to be self injecting (you go in shock and immediately wake up, and the epi-pen in your inventory is used) - Allow to kill yourself when in shock, like broken bones - Decrease time from 10 to 1 or 2 I'm open to discussion
