    Just saw Rocket in DayZ, he was hiding under a box of .45 ammo.

    all holes must be found to be able to patch them out. there hasn't been a single loot based game that has had no item spawning exploits. they were all patched out eventually. this is just the alpha, so stuff like this is TO BE EXPECTED.

    this is what night looks like in the summer, pretty much. autumn is a lot different. thats when dayz takes place. it should be darker and there should be more contrast, colours should be more washed out, maybe add just a hint of tone on (orange etc). the original (unshopped) image lacks contrast, other than that it is pretty realistic.

    it looks good, but is ridiculously unrealistic. nights don't look like that in that particular part of the world, especially in late autumn. you guys should go outside more. its not far cry 3 or world of warcraft out there, nights are DARK and making out colours is very difficult.

    to those asking for server files: you can use your old server files for now. backup your database, in case there are any issues. manual patch downloads (for example: http://uk1.dayz.nu/latest/ ) have a dayz_server.pbo file inside which you can place inside @hive\addons, this worked for me, I don't see why it shouldn't work for you.

    Oh yea, I totally forgot about the dll files that communicate to the database. Someone who knows more about those dll files could shed some light on this...

    unpack the file in your main arma2oa folder, where the @dayz folder is. @fallujah1_2 should be in the same folder with the other @ folders.

    Actually, now that the linux arma2 dedicated has been updated to latest patches, one would not even need Wine to run a dayz server? I have not looked into it, but it should work.     My first player was a guy in a bandit suit. Ran into him in the wilderness near Kamenka, he was just sitting, staring at me. He was armed with a winchester, while I only had a makarov (starting gear back in May or so). I ran back to where I came from and hid in some bushes. He came running after me, I didn't know how to react, so I shot him in the face a few times. I kinda felt bad about it later, but he was a bandit, so that was my justification back then.

    do you have any issues with other serverpacks? we could find out, if the problem is strictly related to this pack, or not.
