My friend got Global bans from nowhere. : / can some one explain this

My friend got Global bans from Arma 2 (He was playing dayz) and he has only played for like 12 hours... he has done nothing... he doesn't have hacks or anything. I bought the game for him, because it was hes birthday and he got to play it for only 12 hours so we are kinda disappointed... or atleast i got and my friend got very upset because all hes or most of hes friends got global bans too now... So we are trying to figure out that whats going on here that why everyone is getting bans all of a sudden. Thanks for reading!
