you have to use the launcher inside of the expansion>beta folder to launch. for steam once the beta is installed navigate to expansion /beta find the arma2 launcher then go back to the Operation arrowhead main folder and either rename launcher or delete it then paste the copied shortcut to that folder. under launch options i have this set up -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash /high -cpuCount=4 -world=empty -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion points to the directory on launch if you use steam to launch combined operations. -mod=@dayz points to the mod you want loaded in this case Dayz -nosplash refers to no splash screen on launch saves time loading. /high set the priority for the process to high on the list of process and tasks. -cpuCount= is the number of cores you dedicate to running the game. 2/4/6 depending on what you have under the hood. -world=empty is the background load just shows endless water instead of the amra map. aids in launching faster hope this povides some help good luck in surviving yes it auto loads to a folder called expansion.

totally agree motzilla. Its like using performance enhancing drugs for sports or counterfeiting money. you can find and use the tools, but claiming negligence as to the legality is preposterous.

So the other night on us 16 I was out side Berenzio with my partner and we heard what sounded like Silence weapon fire. WE were over by the military tents and i was playing overwatch and my friend was scavenging . I swear to christ someone was in the bushes next to me i heard you eating. then i saw a mili zed crawler and miss fired. i aggro'd a zed and let of some revolver action. We then decide its time to run. i think we were all scared .so if anyone remembers this lol it was fun .

LOL at the did not know comment. Sorry dude I really dont feel that excuse flies. Its a simulator. the program is designed to be as real as possible. how can you mistake that for anything else. that excuse would fly had you been creating a mission and doing your own testing. but this is a live test server to which you are a guest playing on. Had this been Rocket or any other dev playing in the game that maybe it would be acceptable. saying that you didn't know is an out right lie.

rad! guys glad to help. and no once you up grade to 1.7 you must play 1.7 . Beta patches how ever allow you to play on anything lower.

I saw that bubblegutz died a bunch of times last night. I am a reg on that server.

make note of the server you are trying to join. sounds like you are running into issues with servers that are using the beta patches. 1.60 is the version you should be shooting for out of the box. here is the link for beta patches http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

there are plenty of day time servers. US side. get your self a pad and pen and write them down when you find them. I usually play till its dark. then i log out like as if i was going to sleep.
