  1. I find the fatigue system to be really stupid, for lack of a better term, simply because DayZ is the Running Simulator. The majority of the game, you'll be running around instead of using a vehicle. To run for 50 meters and have to stop and rest for 15 seconds would increase travel times tenfold. And what if you have some really good gear (AS50, LMG, etc)? You're not just going to set up a tent and risk it being stolen. It might work if you revised it a little. Just my opinion.

Does this look good for running DayZ?

I might look at that, although I'm on an "Under $1000 budget" right now.

I've been having some conflictions on what I'm going to build. This is the last time I'll post something of this nature. I'm also a software nut, I'm not so big on the hardware aspect of computers. Sorry for basically spamming with these.

    Problem running DayZ

You need Arma 2: Combined Ops (Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead) to run DayZ. Sorry bout your luck.

Do you have any idea how high frames I'd run at on high settings?
  6. I'm building a computer, and I was wondering how well it would run DayZ. Here's what's going into it: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2662-KR GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card GIGABYTE GA-Z77MX-D3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL Intel Core i5-2310 Sandy Bridge 2.9GHz (3.2GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I52310 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM Cost plus shipping is $800. (I have a keyboard, thermal paste, power supply, and case added in which adds about $150, making it about $950 total) Any improvements that will keep me around the same price would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I don't really know my stuff for building a computer, I'm getting help from my friend right now. And this computer will be strictly games. Mostly DayZ. I won't be downloading much else.

  9. To be honest, I don't have it YET. It's being shipped as of today. It'll be here by October 5th. I just wanted to know if I could run max settings before hand.
  10. Fixed the black, did that by accident.

  13. My laptop (Which is what I'm on most of the time) can't run DayZ, and I don't have the specs for my desktop. I DO know some vague specs for it though. RAM: Somewhere between 4.00 and 5.00 GB Windows XP Professional That's all I know right now. Any more help would be appreciated.
