Are you launching the beta exe located in Expansion\beta? -
Try verifying game data integrity on Steam. Right click the game and sift around for it.

You guys are not running Combined Operations. Go to your main ArmA 2 folder (not OA) and copy your "AddOns" folder. Then navigate to your Operation Arrowhead folder and paste the "AddOns" folder. Launch, try again, if it doesn't work, come back. -

Most likely, you are not launching the beta. How do you launch ArmA 2? -
Definitely would cut down on Player Killing and adds a few more "goals" to the game. I support this.

US3 and 4 require the client (You) to have installed the beta patch. -

There's many tutorials out there if you're on a Windows box. If you run a dedicated server, no. You probably shouldn't even think of trying to donate your computer for a server. :p Home internet connections usually don't work out too well.

Watching constant complaints in chat of US3 of people saying they're stuck at character data, spawning as crows, etc.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. It's not a hard thing to do and would safe quite a few people some grief. (Especially for those who are not as technically-versed for the installation phase.)

I believe those are server settings. US3 and US4, hosted by UO, have crosshairs and 3rd person turned off.

Huh, perhaps your ISP is blocking access to Mediafire (perhaps a consequence of the Megaupload fiasco). Try e-mailing them with your issue and see what they say. Is your ISP a local one or is like a major corporation like Comcast? EDIT: Just had a guy come in UO TS having the same issue.

I have a 64GB SSD which I run ArmA off of. I also have ACE and the extra addons for United Operations installed. So for me, an extra 8GB is quite a big deal. :p But like I said, for most users, that is the simpler solution.
