I would like to know what is cowardly about it? I've talked to more than a few players who have become KoS players because so many others are. Sometimes they are cool and everything and don't shoot you in the back just like a previous poster described but all it takes is one out of 10 and you've lost your stuff and starting over, unless (like the ones who say it's better to follow you and take ALL your stuff) you have a stash somewhere. At the start I was killed EVERY SINGLE TIME by KoS players. Not once did anyone offer to team up or be nice. There was always talk of it over side channel but I never ran into them. It is a defense mechanism for many. As long as there is a few KoS'ers around there will always be those that learn not to trust and shoot first and live. LOL@ trying to bring honor to a place where it can't be enforced. As far as it being sto^opid, the answer is easy. Only the ones that are honest with themselves will answer this correctly . . . Simple question . . . If it was you getting KoS'd, would you rather lose all your stuff or only what you have on you? I'm not out to take everything someone has because I don't want to lose all my stuff either. I play this game for the trill of the hunt. The racing of the heart and the flow of endorphins. I only KoS if I have the tactical advantage. If someone wants to just start shooting without analyzing the situation, I'll kill them 49 out of 50 times. If I don't have a tac adv, I'll stalk till the first opportunity presents itself with no regard for if you have more stuff somewhere. It's not my fault I mastered looting in like 5 days (and I'm being generous) got tired of getting killed and turned the tables. Like many others have. DEAL WITH IT. :) Just wondering if that PM contains a warning point like orlok promised. OP's post insulting KoS's intelligence and testicle size was screened if you need me to send it anywhere for confirmation. :) Strange his post is gone now along with mine. . .

Once again if you give someone a shot at you, you've made a tactical error. You need to examine what you did wrong and try not to do it again. It's the only way I ever get better at anything. ;)

Damn . . .I couldn't post if I tried to read every post. Difficult never seemed to slow hackers/scritpers down much. I suspect it would only be a temporary fix. A circle crosshair or something with a large margin of error may be the best compromise. Gone by default but let the server have the choice. I also like the idea of a time limit but it should be extended for 7 days worth of playing time not, bought the game on tuesday, Grandma goes in the hospital and you get a total of 4 hours play time then it's gone. I see it as a balance between new players being turned off of the game and the difficulty it would bring to scripters. Hard to judge not having these stats to go by. Personally, I'd like to see them gone. It would separate the desirability of some guns. Better in game sites=more desirable. Bizon and AK-74 could kiss my ass. :)

Personally I could never try to be nice to someone to their face then kill them with their back turned/unsuspecting. I would feel dirty just like the one and only time I ever killed an unarmed. I find that 'friendly then kill' far more cowardly than KoS. BUT I will defend your right to do that. Trust is a double edged sword and those that choose to trust accept the possible consequences. Next time may be different. They might catch you looking the other way and BAM .. . back to the coast for you. :murder: Nope. Not for no reason. If they are geared up and have nothing left to loot they are adding to an aspect of the game that keeps it from dying. DayZ without PvP would have died a quick death a long time ago. I'll server jump if there is a AS50 sniper noob camping out on the tall building in the center of Cherno. Go to another 0 pop server, climb the building and log out between the sign and the little building on the top, log in and 'inch' around using 3rd person till I get eyes on . . they are usually pretty still . . .and give them a clean kill of 1 head shot. Take their good stuff and bury the .50 with them. :lol: That's what camping AS50 noobs deserve in my book. @ZH I believe so.

That is not true. When I first started I would try to run from fights and almost always got killed. I got tired of it and instead of lying down (it is against my nature) I decided to fight back. I've been waiting for that one. Excellent point. I see videos of that working fairly well but I choose to be the one that makes mistakes made by others a more painful moment. They will learn more from me in the long run. My main issue is the trying to tell others how to play. The 'tone' should have been like . . . "Would this not be a better way to do it?" rather than . . ."You are stoopid for doing it this way". @OP in my experience and mostly others' accounts, trying to talk pay far less dividends than KoS.

How about, for instance, that 'friendly' you are taking to just got ambushed by 2 bambits™ in electro, kept a cool head and killed them both. They have a ton of gear that he can't all pick up. Wanting to hoard all the loot, he tells you the church has been looted dry along with the market (he needs food and hasn't been there yet) sending you on your way. If you stop to loot anyways, you defeat your own argument. He runs out to his tent and drops off the loot to be able to return for the rest after giving you a snowjob™. Or tells you there is an AS50 sniper in Cherno because he wants his friends that are already there looting, to do so unhindered. I'll NEVER just take someones word for something ESPECIALLY in DayZ. No sir. I will not take some random dudes word for anything. I'll KoS and live and do my own recon. Once again, if you give someone a shot at you, you have made a tactical error. Not enough patience loses or lets them get away. I know. It is one of my biggest failings but I'm actively trying to curb it.

If it's one thing that fronts off severe bambi butt hurt is the attempted tearing down of a server that they don't have to go anywhere near. All I see is . . . . All you would say the same thing about DM servers although they are some of the ones that are busy ALL THE TIME. Is anyone twisting your arm to play there? Are you going to force yourself to play on it? All these negative comments about a post for a PRIVATE SERVER are worth about a fart in the wind. Stay the hell away from the server if you don't like it. Are you afraid they are going to recruit everyone and leave all you to play by yourselves? LMAO!! The 'oh so' is a little over the top but . . . .EXACTLY!! Pennyworth doesn't agree. He's not happy without military gear. ie He NEEDS it. It is harder to kill someone with a 1911 when they have an AS50. Not impossible but doable by those with the knowledge and patience. Feels so good when you pull it off too. I got a head shot on a AS50 noob from the back of the market in cherno while he was on top of the fire station by the church. 1 shot with a 1911. Honestly it would be very hard to repeat and he was totally stationary. Still felt like a million bucks though. @dgeesio I've found tons from scouting crashes at night with a chopper. Granted the servers that only reset once a day and during the day are much harder. Most I play on reset every 6 hours. Always choppers to be found at night. EDIT: My bad. I meant Electro. :blush:

Yet another fail. I lacquer and do fine finishes on cabinets. I also paint houses. Winter time is UI time. We get the occasional interior to paint. I get a couple months off every winter. UJELLY? When you have a chopper and can go scout chopper crashes, especially at night after reset( by either killing someone with NVGs or finding them on a crash or just adjusting the gamma/brightness) AS50s and M107 are plentiful. I've prolly found 30+ of each and I've only been playing 3.5-4 months. Only about 10 L85s but they are gone now THANK GOD. The smart, clever ones don't have any problem finding them. Seems to me the majority of the community voted to get rid of the L85. That's not a few DERP :rolleyes: The AS50 drops will be lowered. I RARELY get killed by an AS50. I just took one from an admin a few days ago with a Bizon and never got hit. Don't assume because someone is voicing an opinion that they suck at the game. Like I said, the only ones who complain about NOT wanting OP guns out the game are the ones who really appear TO NEED them or it really wouldn't be an issue at all. I have a harder time when the stuff is rare. So many need to have a vast advantage over their opponent rather than their brain being the advantage. Take away their OP gun and they get beat MOST the time. There are always exceptions but the exceptions wouldn't need the OP in the first place and would be fine with the absence of 1 hit kill or thermal if they are honest. I'd rather have everyone running around with an AS50 than 1 or 2. M107 ammo drops are WAY to high for the ammo being rare to work. NOT SAYING I endorse duping. Anything against the rules should be punished. If I had my way the best guns in the game would be 1911, M16A2, and the CZ 550 with variations off of those but the same stats as it's counter part. All weapons under those would have less stats ie fire slower/do less dmg. Buts that's just me. ;)
