I drive a 90 wrangler with no locks on the doors and a softtop (when they're on). It is my own fault if I leave something in there and it gets taken. Would it be nice if I could leave my stuff in there without worrying? Yes it would, but in our society it won't happen. It is on the owner to protect his property. Also you can't put ownership on ideas, while yes your code got used saying that you OWN those ideas is wrong.
