Time to share things about ammo :D

Yes, the "make-your-own-ammo" glitch is a wonderful thing. -
Oh get over it already. It's a free world, people can play for whatever reason they wish. Also in reality it's more likely that people will shoot on sight than just rob others. I guess you've never spared someone's life just to have them come back and kill you as soon as they found another gun. And learn to spell for the love of god... You're, wannabe. You people are on the fricken interwebz, use it! To the OP: The skin is glitched I believe. Hubby killed 5 people, got skin, died, had skin for a few minutes after and then it disappeared. Despite his humanity still being at -9000 something.

Server name: US 1799 Timezone: mine: PST, server: UCT -4 Date/ Time: not sure, about two weeks ago Server Admin: no idea but it is hosted by Shadows of Syn What happened: Being the bandit I am I keep my eye out for camps, both on servers and on the forum. I found a post talking about a major camp on 1799 at International Airport, just north of the Northern barracks. So of course I went and checked it out and lo and behold, there is a major camp there. It is LLTS' clan camp, stretched throughout the airport, 20+ tents and some vehicles. Anyway, I'm happily raiding their tents, carrying whatever I can, I then turn around and run away, out of the airport when I start getting shot at. Now I did the pussy thing and combat disconnected but then I was only there for the raid, not a fight (excuses I know). The only two people on with me at that point were two guys with LLTS tags. Next day I try to rejoin to see what I may have missed and get that: So I recruit the hubby to go in there and have a look for himself (at this point I'm thinking I got banned for DCing which is still against hosting rules but I could have understood that), which he did. The server was empty at that point, no one else on during the entire time he was there. He looted a few tents, found a bus, blew it up, looked around some more, then returned to our "home server". Next day, tries to join and gets the same screen as posted above. I also browsed this forum for "1799" and found several other threads with people complaining about getting banned after discovering the airport camp, regardless of whether they looted anything or not. http://dayzmod.com/f.../page__hl__1799 http://dayzmod.com/f.../page__hl__1799 http://dayzmod.com/f.../page__hl__1799 Apparently US 1799 is a public private server where everybody can join... once. Evidence: Well, all I have is the screenshot but anyone can go on there and try for themselves. I'm still planning on sending a few friends over there to see if it will happen to them as well. Also I remember a few pop up messages after joining the server, pretty much stating that the server gets restarted whenever the owners feel like it and people will get banned for this, that and the other thing. It all sounded a little off, that's the best way I can word it.

M14 AIM/ DMR for human hunting, M4 SD for zombie hunting. I find plenty M14 in the barracks, DMR in deer stands even, M4 SD can be more difficult. Ammo is common for M14, can be found anywhere really. Stanag SD... I find most of them in airport/ airfield. -
I believe with "Cold" they mean being cold, freezing your behind off, not having a cold, since all you do is shake as if you were in pain. You don't lose blood like you do with an infection, nor do you cough. With an infection you will lose blood until you hit 6000. Then you just cough. I've been there plenty of times, I have only used Antibiotics three times in the three or four months I've been playing. The rest of the time it was heat and food. Or maybe time.... Take the advice and try for yourself or keep relying on others to save you, it's up to.
-
Here's a hint: Eat a lot of steaks frequently to keep your health up and use a lot, and I mean a lot, of heat packs. The cold won't last too long this way from my experience. I've always gotten rid of it. It's just the last couple of weeks I've had access to Antibiotics. Also server hopping sometimes helps in getting rid of it. Sometimes.

Indeed. Bandit life is great. We, our little crew of 5-7 survivors/ bandits in training, have a nice home server. One that is fairly empty during the week, but gets a little over 10 players on weekends which is great. We have been playing there for weeks now and are starting to get to know the regulars on there. And the other way around. Plus we have had hunches on who the server admin(s) may be and last night those hunches became fact. Last night (it was night on the server as well) my hubby, NavyCuda, was cruising around in one of our pick-ups looking for heli crashes since the server had just restarted several times the other day. He gets to Cherno, close to the gas station by the coast... when he sees our, I repeat OUR... ;) ... we found it, fixed it and had it for weeks now, UAZ driving away from said gas station. He jumps out, starts shooting at the driver who falls out of the vehicle dead. "Dimkon was killed" Passenger in the UAZ moves over to driver's side, attempts to run over hubby, boom boom. "Antweezy was killed" DMRs rock. So now we have one lone survivor with two vehicles and two, possibly mad, survivors spawning at the coast. Hubby hops into UAZ and hides it not too far away. Runs back to the dead guys, loots them, (M14s, NVs, Rangefinders, food, drink), hides them, takes pick-up and drives off. He hasn't driven 50m when he gets shot at by a pistol. Mind you at that time it was only him, the two dead guys and one other person on. I was in the process of logging in, so was a friend. I tell him to ignore the guy and just get out so we don't lose him or the vehicle(s). So he drives out of there, hides the pick-up, torques back to the UAZ (it's the better of the two in our opinion) and drives it up to our camp to pick me and a friend up to attempt a pick-up rescue mission. About 10 minutes pass between picking us up and getting back to the general area the pick-up was hidden in. During that time one person leaves the server and it's just us (3) and the two we just killed. Suddenly the server restarts while we are driving... Hi antweezy and dimkon! You guys were really mad last night weren't you? :D We come back in to find ourselves standing in the middle of the road outside Cherno. First thing we do is get to cover, second thing we do is try to remember where we last saved the UAZ, all while moving closer to the pick-up. Boom.... boom. "NavyCuda was killed" !@&%$! The two of us that are left decide to move in on the pick-up, hearts pounding, scared shitless. I try to take the "high road", circling around north, hoping there's enough trees to cover me, not having a single clue where these two guys were or are, nevermind where my friendly is now. I reach a big ass field with maybe one bush on it, that I have to cross to get to the pick-up. I run to the only bush in the field, crouch, check my position to get my bearing when I see myself getting hit... silently. I'm in shock, both in game and real life. Then I get killed by two consecutive shots that I still couldn't hear. There goes my 50 day old character. "SquishyBear was killed" Now it's just our friend left up there in the hills somewhere around Cherno and the pick-up. He gets shot at several times. Runs away, bleeding. Repositions himself, gets shot at again, missed. Runs around some more, trying to avoid certain death. We decide to abandon the rescue and get our UAZ back instead. So hubby makes it to UAZ which is in great condition at our last save but needs fuel. We can't find fuel, there's no jerry cans anywhere!!! 500 industrial sites and not one jerry can! !@&%$! "Lino155 was killed" They got him too. Now it's all about the UAZ and saving it and our other pick-up in camp. We all run towards the UAZ. Hubby and I decide to torque to camp due to lack of jerry cans when hubby falls off the docks into the water and treads water for a good 10 minutes, blindly trying to find some place to crawl out of the water while I'm running through the wilderness. Another friendly signs on... thank god! He's in camp with the other pick-up. We tell him to get that thing down here, one jerry can is plenty fine, just get down here! We manage to fill up the UAZ, take it back to camp, we got the pick-up too. Another friendly comes in. Suddenly we hear "There's a dirt bike here". So now we have an UAZ, a dirt bike, a pick-up and an ATV that has not been found that need better and safer parking opportunities... but we still have them! But we are missing a pick-up... ane we are pretty damn sure they have the choppah too. We've heard it fly around with just us and them on. We also believe they have at least one other friend that plays with them. We now know they are admins, we now know what not to do when they are on, we learned a lot last night. It's on! PS: Yes, it could be considered a dick move to restart the server to take the vehicle out of the equation, but we thought it was brilliant. No one combat disconnected, they just didn't want to face us in the vehicle. We didn't mind at all. PPS: We got visited by a friendly hacker last night too. We noticed this guy in our camp looking around, almost looked disoriented. Then someone actually pointed him out and we realized our positions were broadcasted all over the server (good thing it was only us on at that point). We shot at him but he didn't even care nor did we hurt him. He looked at our stuff then left. No harm done. Interesting experience.

Admin abuse by BEDYR on US 2804
SquishyBear replied to yopparai's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I smell a lot of fish. But at the same time I also see two/ three people bitch at each other without providing any proof either way. He said, she said, no he said, no she said. I assume no one was in the debate team at school. Might have to go and try to kill Bedyr... hehe. -
I really want to tell you the best location but then more people would know about it and it might compromise our existing camps... :P I actually found out about the most brilliant camping spot in this forum. Maybe if you search the bandit campfire long enough you'll find it too.

Satchel charges (it's screenshot worthy), grenades (chance of it glitching away) or shooting at the back of the bus, you know, where the engine is. They tend to smoke for a while before it eventually will go boom.

There's apparently people who still don't understand. Let me rephrase that for them: Repost! Thread already exists.

To the squad of 5 on US 1381

The crying is strong in this one. Not sure where the "unarmedness" comes from... I clearly see guns in their hands and over their shoulders. Not sure why it isn't a good fight. There's at least 3 people with guns visible in the pic. ALL of them staring in the same direction. That ladies and gentlemen is fail btw. He saw them first and killed them. It's what I would have done. This is a survival game, get over it not being "fair".... "You have better guns", "You're in a better spot"... boo fu**ing hoo. -
Am I the only one who hates the castle up there? Nevermind that no one is ever there when I go for a visit...

What's wrong with "bandits" in this game?
SquishyBear replied to yoshez's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
If you have crappy equipment, why would I want to take any of it? Most of the time I have better weapons and gear than those who got killed. Also true bandits hide their prey... :D -
Two kills dropped me from 4000 something to -319... then somehow over the next day or two it slowly crept up, back to 1000 something. I'm mad. Must... kill... more... survivors.

Actually most people with half a brain do care about this crap. Why? Cos I can actually feel my brain cells dying when I have to read crap like your instead of you're, nevermind they're, their and there and all the other goodies. You're on the internet already, there's dictionaries and spell checkers and google. You also make yourself look like a complete moron complaining about someone's English when you yourself can't even type and spell properly. I mean, how hard can it be? As for the OP: Get some buddies that play with you, there is strength in numbers, nevermind that two pairs of eyes see more than one and so on! And yes, having just the game sound without music and all that jazz makes quite the difference.

Pretty sure buddy aimed at his head before he shot him in the head. He even moved closer to his target. Then again I once hacked the hubby's head off with the hatchet thinking I was clicking to get into Gear... it's ok, it was revenge for that one time he was shooting a zombie.... through my head. I prefer being a bandit, mostly cos I'm not a nice person, or patient. Besides I watched the hubby play once, he was on top of the hospital and two guys approached and all were communicating and reassuring each other that no one wanted to die or start shooting. So they yap and yap and then one of them climbs up the neighbouring building and the other waits on the ground and I yell "Shoot him, shoot him, he's gonna kill you" and he waited that split second too long reassured by their empty words that they wouldn't start sh**.... boom, dead. Shoot first, loot and ask questions later is my motto since that day.
