A great alternative to leaving one door open would be the ability to climb out of an upstairs window with a ladder, then take down the ladder and hide it while you're away.

Been having some pretty good firefights lately. Could always use more players to join in on the fun.

I'm one of the older members of the Southern Guerrillas. Ever since I joined the clan, I've always found it refreshing to have guys on my side to help me out. Even better, we have a common enemy to fight against. The firefights, coordinated assaults, and panicked retreats that go hand in hand with clan warfare are an incredible and exhilarating experience. Anyone who wants a piece of the action is more than welcome to join in on the fun.

I can sprint through elektro full throttle with a horde of twenty-thirty of the bastards chasing after me and I'm all like "whatever, it's cool". The only time I ever experience fear is when I see other players. Zeds are afforded an appropriate measure of caution given the situation. If I'm low on blood, ammo or medical supplies I keep a low profile so I don't get noticed at all. If I have plenty of bandages to stop bleeding, enough health to take a hit or two, and enough ammo to fight my way out of a corner, I won't pay zeds the least little bit of attention.

Went in to Maruko and played Spotter to BallisticPanda's Sniper. Killed a few guys and went on the run when a nine-man strong attack squad came after us. Got gunned down myself but Panda managed to score a few sweet kills before bugging out. A fun time was had by all, even though I got an owie.

The more players we have, the more fun it'll be.

Definitely a shoulder-mounted nuclear missile launcher. It's the only way to be sure.

OP lost any and all respect I'd have given because of this. Seriously it was just a lighthearted joke, you don't need to act like a butt hurt five-year-old in response.

Also babes and chainsaws. Can't have a good zombie flick without babes and chainsaws. Also, most of the people need to die by the end. I think that's an original and stunning concept no one has explored before!

Soda is a pretty common loot drop. Also, as a liquid, it's used to quench the thirst of your character. The thing is... A can of soda isn't entirely made of water. A can is also a rather small container, so there isn't that much liquid in it to begin with. At least not in comparison to a canteen of water, anyway. What I'd like to suggest... In order to better reflect the nature of soda, when you drink it it fills your water gauge all the way up, but it also gives you a temporary debuff that makes you thirsty faster than you normally would. It should also fill a very small amount of hunger, because the calories will give you a meager amount of energy as well as trace amounts of various vitamins and minerals (not enough to be a healthy diet, but it's still there). That way, if you can't find any food, drinking lots of soda will help keep you going long enough to find some.

It isn't cursed! We just need to stop driving it off of/into various things.

And then we lost all the things... But we're going to be getting lots and lots of vehicles, so there's that.

The list for Southern Faction members is pretty long, but I've only seen about a third of them so far. Half of them I don't think have even been on the server. Seems a bit odd to sign up for a game and then not play it.

Just doing some out loud thinking, is all. Don't know if I'll go through with it or not, but it's out there in case other people want to throw support behind it or plan around it. Edit. Still can't get my tent placed, even though I spent a good half hour running around and trying to get it down in whatever spot looked like it would be fine. Absolutely nothing to show for it.

I've been thinking on attempting to form a trade faction. If existing factions agree to it, and if King Scuba allows for it, I'd like to procure a Ural/VS3 as well as one or two other, lesser value vehicles like a Gaz or an Old Hatchback. I'd then make runs between different factions, procuring various needed supplies in barter trade for other supplies that different factions need. Possibly even provide transport. Still thinking it over, though. Might not be much need for a Trader's Faction. Also, for some reason I'm completely unable to place any tents. This is unfortunate, because my inventory is completely full and I need to store away what I have before venturing back out into the wastes for more supplies. It's sort of bumming me out.

I know I have. I've already raided some military sites and gotten some sweet gear. I've also already gotten into a fight with a glitched zombie. Popped right up through the floor and punched me in the face hard enough to knock me right out, even though I was at full health. Thankfully it got stuck in a wall right after it popped out of the ground, so it didn't eat me while I was out. Now I need a bloodbag though, cause I'm at a little less than half health.

A little while ago a zombie launched itself up through the floor and uppercut me hard enough to knock me right out. Thankfully the glitch that propelled it through the floor also got it stuck in a wall, so I was able to wake up and jump out long before I died. But I had debug mode on at the time and I had 11.5k health when it DID knock me out. Either this is a bug or the game itself is actively trolling us.

Wow, this is the first thread I've ever come across where someone is complaining about the admin of a server and it didn't immediately dissolve into an insult-slinging internet shitstorm. Beans to all of you!

I love side chat. It's managed to arrange all kinds of awesome things for me. The last time I was ever on a server with side chat, I managed to hail a helicopter and have it come down to pick me up while I was being chased by a 30+ horde of zeds. Dude touched down long enough for me to lunge in through the helicopter door before taking off and flying towards the sunset. Probably the most epic moment I've ever experienced in Day Z, and it was only possible because of side chat.

I have two guys I regularly play Day Z with, but one of them is getting bored with the game and the other has a crap schedule and doesn't get to play as often as he might like. Because of that, I'm looking for a few others to hook up with and play. If at all possible, I'd like the group to meet up with ONLY starter or otherwise low-tier equipment. That way we'll be forced to work together as a team to procure more resources and survive. Anyone interested?
