  1. A couple questions: - Is it possible to add in more ARMA 2 vehicles to the map tool? I'd like to be able to easily add things like the Antonov An-2. - One of the guys who I play with quite a bit noticed that some of the vehicles commonly seen on Panthera on other servers(I think mainly ViLayer servers) aren't part of the spawns on my server (Things like the Antonov, and MH-6 Little Bird). Are there separate versions of Panthera out there, or different default setups for the vehicles spawns? Just really curious more than anything. Thanks for all your hard work and fast replies!
  2. Is it not working in general, or just the new vehicle spawning feature? I can see the map, and it looks okay, but I don't get the right click menu.
  3. If he did choose "immediately", he's supposed to get reimbursed for the remaining number of days on the last payment. Sounds like they just shut everything down and kept his money.
  4. That is all awesome. Thank you so much! I've wiped the old vehicles from the map, and spawned in new ones. It's working great now. Looking forward to seeing time periods on logs.
  5. I asked before and got no answer, so I'll ask again: Is it possible to switch to a fully private hive from a community hive and retain the current state of the map (player gear, tents, vehicles)?
  6. Is there a way to get older logs? I got a report of a hacker that was on last night, but the logs only go back to 7am server time.
  7. Looks cool, does body temperature decrease faster on this map, like on Namalsk? That's one feature of DayZ you typically don't have to worry about much, but it'd be cool to see it more. Also, finally a custom map without a terrible looking loading screen!
  8. Ah okay, good to know. Is there a good guide on modifying spawns, or a good overview of how each table relates to in-game elements?
  9. That definitely is true. I'd like to hope that I'm not getting preferential treatment or anything just for being very vocal on the forums, but it wouldn't surprise me. The squeaky wheel gets the grease after all.
  10. Now that I have the map, I'm noticing that about half of the vehicles on my Namalsk server are spawned out in the ocean. Is the vehicle spawner putting vehicles in inaccessible places, or do you think it's hackers?
  11. How does that work? Do you have a dedicated support staff for handling tickets specifically, and an IT staff for managing the deployment of new servers? I'm not trying to be confrontational, but that's a pretty bold claim for what seems to be a small company. I can see that working for a larger company that's split up into departments, but it seems unrealistic for anything other than that. I'm really more curious than anything.
  12. Survival Server has done good by me recently, there was a credit discrepancy which they fixed pretty fast, and they had my server fixed in under 24 hours from their reply on the ticket. It's not the lightning fast response and solution times that I've seen with DayZ.st, but it's reasonable enough considering the generous credit they applied for the downtime. It sounds like the problems that were kicking their ass are getting better, but I'd still like to see them get up to the level of DayZ.st. They should at least be matching their competition in terms of service and support.
  13. The correct credit has been applied, and my server was up and running yesterday morning. Thank you! I genuinely hope this is a sign of good things to come.
  14. What about those of us who had servers that were down for part of the time during that mess, and it was up during part of that time but still pretty much unplayable(nothing saving, people dying on spawn or getting sent to debug island, losing all gear)? You said on 14 October 2012: After that, you told customers that it would be $5. We had more problems following that, to which we were offered another $5 credit. Recently I received a $3 credit for the third round of downtime. That $3 seems to be the only credit that was applied to my account. I got an invoice for the DayZ Tools today, only $3 was taken off it. Shouldn't it be $0 with a remaining credit of $8? I sent an e-mail in reply to the invoice, but haven't gotten a reply. I would make a ticket, but your entire site is down.
  15. I think a lot of that comes from the fact that some people people have been getting increasingly frustrated with waiting for responses (occasionally beyond the 24 hour max that they advertise), and stable servers. Honestly, the 502 error is pretty minor concern to me because I've had lots of server downtime, but I can see how it'd get very frustrating while trying to administrate a running server. It can also be equally frustrating to see other companies providing faster response times and far fewer serious issues. SurvivalServers are awesome to deal with when everything is running fine, but they do seem to get overwhelmed very easily.
  16. Still waiting for my server to get back up and running, it's been a day now. The SurvivalServers guys put a $3 credit on my account to cover the downtime, but I'd just like to see the server running uninterrupted and without major issues for at least a week. They replied with the credit and a promise to look into the problem within 7 hours. The fact that they replied fast (at least fast for them), and they gave a generous credit earns them some patience from me, but that server is basically a huge annoyance at this point. I'd probably be raging more, but I've been busy playing on my Day.st server which is running fine with no downtime as of yet. I've only had a couple of problems, and each of those were fixed in under an hour.
  17. Considering that people looking to get a server will come to this forum, it's good for them to see what the customer experience is. I've based both of my choices in providers on what I've read on this section of the forums. It can save people from making a subscription for something they're likely to be unhappy with, or get them to pick a service they may have not considered.
  18. My server is currently not working(AGAIN), tents and vehicles were also gone, and the time of day changed immediately to night. I've made a ticket, this is basically a last straw ticket for us, if we don't get a solution in a reasonable amount of time, we'll be permanently moving to DayZ.st.
  19. They sure are so far! Another update: On DayZ.st, we ran into a minor issue when crashing helis, certainly not a dire problem, but annoying nonetheless. I got a reply to my e-mail in 34 minutes. After that, we ran into a ton of serious issues on our SurvivalServers server, and it is currently unplayable. I will post how long it takes them to reply when they do. We're basically on our last straw with SurvivalServers, the moment we have to put up with serious issues for an unreasonable amount of time(24 hours would be unreasonable in this situation), I'll be canceling service with them.
  20. Another update: DayZ.st has been awesome to deal with so far. ersan191 responds really fast on the forums with actual helpful and informative posts. I had an issue with my server last night after switching maps, the problem was fixed in less than 15 minutes from the time that I sent the e-mail! I can't stress enough how awesome that is after dealing with SurvivalServers. There were some ticket responses on tickets that I'd wait nearly a day for, and the response would be something along the lines of "Well it works for me". Of course, our survival servers server has been running fine since Saturday, the time zone issue was caused by the bliss 3.6 update, and a simple offset fixed it. The survival server staff responded in a reasonable amount of time with a solution, 9 hours. It looks like the biggest part of the rough patch with SurvivalServers is over, but they still don't even come close to comparing to DayZ.st for the quality of the support. I'll be sure to post more updates as the month goes on.
  21. Is it possible to switch a private community hive server to a totally private hive and keep everything that's on the server?
  22. Wow,that was fast. Thanks! And the security issue isn't a huge concern for me, I just tend to have gut negative reactions to seeing plain text passwords.
  23. Is it possible to hit the database outside of the control panel? Some friends and I have been wanting to make a server stats site. Sort of like what anyoneincherno.com does. Edit: I suppose occasional database dumps would work, but the data would be slower to get updated that way. Also, the control panel isn't really secure at all, my username and password are exposed in the query string in plain text. I'm guessing you're doing that to avoid using user sessions for some reason. Is there a more secure login method?
  24. How do I ban players? I've had one noticable hacker on so far, but I don't see anywhere on the control panel to manage the bans.txt file. Also, is there support for AntiHax and BEC?
