Give that zombies in DayZ are infected as opposed to undead, why don't they bleed when cut or shot?

Sure I understand that is alpha but it's interesting that this was never included in the mod either when it seems fairly logical and would be interesting for gameplay. I'm not going to pretend that I understand the coding involved but I would have thought it would have been reasonably straightforward to apply the bleeding system for players to zeds. Also i thought the point of the alpha process is determining core game features as well as generating a stable game.

Haha no - I mean why is there no bleeding mechanic of any sort so that for example a zombie can be injured and will eventually die from blood loss.

It's not my intention to be rude. This idea has a thread already in play - I asked if you used the search function as I expected that my previous thread would have come up. There is far too much duplication of threads in this forum. If you look at the original thread you'll see there is already some good discussion to be added to. I don't mind the increased exposure as I think this idea should definitely added, but people who like this idea should be aware of it's previous discussion. And it has pretty pictures. I don't think I'm being precious about ownership of the idea - chances are good that someone thought I'd it before me but didn't post it - I just think ideas should be discussed in one place. Anyway enough of this - back to the topic at hand. Edit:I also performed the search and you're right - a lot of unrelated topics came up which makes me wonder about the utility of the search function. I assumed that it would come up pretty quickly in search given the title and tags.

I had a post on this as part of my thread on subdividing inventory squares into smaller squares. Required the weapon to be broken down - I.e. removing stock (and optionally scope, magazines and other attachments). See in my signature to find the thread. Has some pretty pictures too!

Rocket said recently in one of the vids linked to his Twitter stream that he wasn't keen on implementing beards as it would only apply to a small part of the player base (I may be paraphrasing a bit). This is about the first time that I've strongly disagreed with his direction - firstly, I'd guess that a healthy majority of the player base are male and (as has been suggested a few times) hair growth (in both males and females) would compensate for the male bias of this feature.

What animations would add depth and immersion to the game?

- animation for using the hand-cranked well pumps - currently instantaneous drinking which needs to change. Should bind character to the pump (as with ladders) and use one hand to operate the pump. -

The angle changes of the headtorch just aren't right between different stances - particularly in first person. When you are in any stance except for standing fully upright, it is unusable. Either the light beam should be adjustable (which seems like too much drama) or should be centred on the players centre of vision (which makes sense). Very stoked that they are in game though - I pushed for them pretty hard in the early days of the mod. Also, it would be great to have a red-light option to reduce visibility to other players (my camping head torch has 4 light settings. PS I know people will say "use flashlight, you die", but hey I like the atmosphere and utility on a night server. I wish it was easier to turn of and on - e.g. via assigning a hotkey (my preference) or having a key-bind.

While the tropics have the greatest variety of parasitic species, gut parasites are or were a big problem for most pre-industrial societies but there are variations in parasites in different regions. Sanitation has been the biggest thing that has rid industrial nations of endemic parasites. In the context of the game, gut parasites should increase the need for calories.
