  1. Its a realistic game. That means one 7.62 shot WILL kill you. It has enough force to blow your head off, and, if it hits your body, explodes inside it, shredding your organs. Two 5.56 are usually also enough to kill. 9 mm? not so much. Hell 9 mm and even 5.56 are severly hampered even by a little bit of foliage.
  2. This happened to me once, for some reason my death wasnt saved. I cant recall what exactly happened before (was my third or so game), sorry.
  3. Its funny that you mention good equipment as suspicious. Visit the barracks a couple times and you will get a DMR etc. too.
  4. Its a realistic game, therefore, the game stores the rounds for every magazine seperately. So if you have 2 shots left an reload, you now have a mag with only 2 rounds.
  5. Well you dont have to make a newsletter public.
  6. Im no server owner so I realize that my opinion isnt worht much but every big project I know has a newsletter for stuff like this. Keeping gameservers patched is important, so why not make a newsletter and include a link to download the newest version?
  7. You should never punish in an open game, you should only reward. Its a game, people play it to have fun or feel accomplishement. You dont get that by punishment, but you do get it by rewards. The only thing you should do to get desired behavior is through positive reeinforcement.
  8. Date/Time: 23.05.2012, 23:45 GMT+1 (basically time of this post - 5 minutes) What happened: connection lost with server, when I was connecting to other server I suddendly had different equipment, different stats, and was at a different location. Interestingly enough another person on the server I first was on reported the same problem (I think it was UK 2, i am not 100% sure though. Where you were: pond between sosnovka and zelenogorsk (next to the barn) What you were doing: nothing, just looking around *Current installed version: 1.5.8.2 *Server(s) you were on: UK 2 and EU 666 *Your system specs: i5 2500K HD6850 8 GB RAM Win 7 64 bit all the newest drivers *Timeline of events before/after error: - running to pond at the barn - connection lost with server - reconnect to different server EU666 - notice its another character - bandage myself - close the game.
  9. People do what gives them the most personal gain. Currently, that means shoot first to avoid any risk. While I can understand that some people enjoy this, you have to understand that it takes a whole subclass of possibilities away from the game. There really isnt that much incentive to play together in the first place. Now, I can only speak for me, but this gets boring over time. After six or so hours with my character it really does get boring and I would love to team up, but I wont, because there is a very high chance that I lose my hours of progress if I try to do so. Now, instead of making pvp more difficult or add negative consequences too it, why not incentivise teamwork and make the risk actually worthwhile? Currently, there are only two incentives for teamwork: blood transfusions and building vehicles. The last is so difficult that it doesnt happen that much anyway. We need more like this. There must be more things in the game that can only be done with multiple people (or, if done alone, take a long long time). Creating factions for example. Buiding a base and remove zombie spawn from a small area. Making bigger buildings. More items that can only be used together with other people. Infections from drinking bad water or eating bad food that can only be cured by other players. And so on. Some of these things have to be easy to achieve so that people actually think they can directly achieve it by teaming up. This way, you can still play lone wolf if you want, and survive, as long as you are super careful, you can still play bandit, but it now actually makes sense to group up. This would take away nothing from the current game, and you can still play it as it is now, but it would add new possibilites and new playstyles. And wouldnt fighting be more interesting if it wasnt always 1v1?
  10. I think the main problem is that there isnt much incentive to play together with other people. People do what gives them the most personal gain. Currently, that means shoot first to avoid any risk. While I can understand that some people enjoy this, you have to understand that it takes a whole subclass of possibilities away from the game. When I started playing I always thought 'oh another player can I trust him, or not?' this tension is now gone, as I am better off just killing everybody. Now, I can only speak for me, but this gets boring over time.
