  1. YES Easy to find weapons in barns. Do not find it frustrating at all. IMHO we should start with: 1x painkiller 1x canteen 2x beans 1x bandage
  2. Please register on our website and fill out an application. If the application is approved you will get a PM with more information. TS information can be found on our website, you can join and play with us if you want, even if your app is not yet approved.
  3. Apart from the ability to write stuff in it, add another menu point that is basically a logbook like $DATE entered Rog castle found xyz $DATE found an M14 in elektro firestation etc. This way, even when people dont feel like writing stuff down (I dont, because its just another thing i will lose a lot), you can still get an idea what this character has been through.
  4. If you are dying because zombie chases, you are doing it wrong. Just go inside a building and just headshot them.
  5. madmaxx@madmaxx.info

    DayZ API

The obvious downside is that everybody could just check how many ppl this person has killed, what equipment he is wearing, etc. I think at least equipment shouldnt be accessable through the API.
  6. Alright I will just hang out in TS when online, just poke me.
  7. So im a recruit in TS now does that mean I can just hop in and play?
  8. How big a women in this game btw? For sniping reasons.
  9. I feel this would punish people who have to disconnect for legit reasons way more. Moments were you D/C to avoid death are pretty uncommon so it wont happen that much to begin with. I agree with other people: just let the body stay in the game for a minute. This way legit D/Cs arent a problem (if you log out in a safe location), emergency D/C will get your character killed right away.
  10. I agree, some more 'civilian' looking and feeling weapons would be awesome. Its too easy to get a weapon that one-shots zombies (even though they are very loud which is a nice tradeoff). I am not a weapon buff but dont hunting weapons usually have smaller caliber than military weapons? It doesnt make sense that anything else than a high caliber weapon (slug or 7.62) should be able to kill a zombie with a bodyshot. This would also make zombies more difficult to fight, which would be cool.
  11. I dont know if the models exist but if they do.. aggressive dogs, wolves, bears would be AWESOME. Would make running through forests more interesting.
  12. Cool, reminds me of 'the road'. Would slow you down, especially on rough terrain, but increase your inventory.
  13. You know how much ten miles are? Yeah, thats pretty much exactly the distance from one end of the map to the other SQRT(215 km²) = 15 km
  14. Im interested what consequences youre talking about? Sure, if your character is just a couple of hours old, dying is meaningless. But if you played the same character for DAYS, went through a couple or near-death situations, but still made it out alive, when you have invested dozens of hours into this single character, then your live suddendly seems worth a lot and dying really hurts. It doesnt matter whether those hours of gametime were invested finding the best gear, surviving against the odds, or hunting down dozens of players. There is no 'point' no 'goal' to this game - each player can set their own goals. What matters is the time invested that is lost once you died. I think you are missing that there isnt a 'point' to the game. You can do whatever you want, play your own game. Anyway, all of this is OT anyway.
