What make is your laptop? does it have three lock symbols on it above the keyboard, the one with the arrow pointing down is your scroll lock hold FN and press every other button on the keyboard until it lights up. On my wife's laptop a Dell it's FN+Num lock.

On laptops it's usually a combination of the FN key plus one of the F keys or FN + num lock

Are you running a steam version of the game, if so in DayZ commander click on settings and look for steam options click the little box that says "replace original Arma2oa files with beta so steam works" , also if you are running steam version verify your game cache sometimes files get corrupted and stop you from playing. To do that open steam go to library and right click on OA click properties, then local files, then verify integrity of game cache. If any files are missing or damaged it'll fix them for you do the same for Arma 2.

If you can play on plain Arma 2 OA servers then there's nothing wrong with your copies of Arma2 and OA , have you tried deleting the DayZ files and re-installing them using DayZ Commander or Play with six ?

If you just want to play DayZ and none of the other great mods for Arma 2 use DayZ Commander

Yeah it's a known bug with Antihax if you crash a chopper, the admin should be able to unban you for it, have you tried joining servers that aren't running antihax ?

What does the ban message say ?

If you press G when at a loot pile you can pick items up out of that pile.

If your using commander, click the recent tab and the server at the top of the list is the last server you played on this is the easiest way of finding the last private hive you where on if launched through commander. You can also filter the servers so that only public hive servers are shown, your character is saved across all public hive servers.

Arma CO is on sale till 5th Jan @ €15 on Steam, the BAF, PMC and ACR dlc are all on sale as well so I'd go with Steam, unless your local game store is selling it cheaper.

The server had a hissy and turned you into a seagull, and battle-eye kicked you for being a naughty seagull, nothing to worry about it happens all the time and has no consequences ie you wont get banned.

Got killed by some skiddies last night they flew a little bird directly to where I was hiding in a group of trees and started calling out my name over voice (10 or so other people on the server), they crashed it survived and then managed to find me again within seconds even though I legged it when they where crashing. Played a bit of cat and mouse with them I think I killed one of them, can't be sure as his body disappeared from behind the bush he was hiding in and then either him or his buddy appeared behind me called my name again and said something inaudible before killing me. Apart from that small incident had a lot fun last night and hopefully the server is as full again tonight :) EDIT: @ Kiwuu wait till you find the snow ghille , it is very sexy

Just use DayZ commander or 6launcher to install everything for you, it'll save you a lot of heartache and both work for mixed versions eg retail Arma II and steam OA. Do you have both Arma II and Arma II OA in your steam library? If you do, Combined Operations is launched automatically when launching OA. To check if CO has launched start OA go to Singleplayer -> Editor and see what islands are available. If Chernarus and Utes are there , then CO is running.

Below I've marked what fields you need to change, everything else is trial and error as to what the best settings are for you. Your res should be what your monitor can support but both 3d and interface should be the same.

Still loving this mod especially the addition of being able to burn tents to the ground hehehehe

Perhaps once another server or two are added for Redux, those of us that like 1st person only can have one of them set to 1st only
