  1. This is one of my favorite decoys for handling those pesky door-to-door Survivors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39uikbk0uwA&feature=autoplay&list=PL85A812C77A7D0683&playnext=1
  2. Unknown player on "DayZ - US 136" at 2:10AM EST 6/27/2012 had invincibility exploit of some type. He was shot with 4 high powered rifles nearly 40 times and continued to take us out one at a time with confidence. Majority of shots were at point blank, he never bled, and best we can recall the bullets never hit him or registered blood hits. Players killed in order: DirtySanchez Marillion DirtyWilly Minister Was a scene out of the Terminator.
  3. Survivors in the wild will instinctively try to run when threatened. To conserve ammo, aim for the legs and let the locals do the rest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGPFHZ2EuM4&list=PL85A812C77A7D0683&index=1&feature=plcp

    Survivor Hunting Tip #5: Doubletap

As much as I hate to admit it, I got the AS50 on a backspawn, that is someone trying to spawn in behind me. It was him or me, I saw him spawn in and there was that bazooka. And as karma would have it, some backspawner killed me and took it - which I do have FRAPs'ed. Miss that gun, easily best in game. Is it karma if I never backspawned on them?

Why I am a bandit (Story)

You're doing well. Admitting it is the first step.

    hunting survivors

Agree. Sound is HUGE too. One shot might give you a direction, 2-3 and you'll have a good idea of where/range. More for CQB, footsteps, material they're running on. Height is always your advantage. Bullets have ballistics and trajectory. Bigger guns do well more damage and stay truer longer over range. Always factor drop/lead. Unfortunate fact: it's a game. Lag happens, always plan it into your shooting formula.
  9. There comes a time when the Survivor is just so lost and beyond recovery that you'll be doing him a justice by making it all go away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYB9BrjHRqs&list=PL85A812C77A7D0683&index=1&feature=plcp
  10. In situations of extreme danger, the Survivor has been known to mimic its attacker, literally taking on the behavior of a Hopper in order to make his escape. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtOfGzctEY8&list=PL85A812C77A7D0683&feature=plcp
  11. AS50, a suppressed 50 cal! It is basically a battleship cannon with a suppressor. Unfortunately, lost it to a dude that spawned in behind us... You served us well AS50.
  12. When hunting survivors in the wild, always be on the lookout for the Crocodile Death Roll. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwrgi7dxaJo&list=PL85A812C77A7D0683&index=1&feature=plcp

Survivor Hunting Tip #1: The Barrel Roll

Haha, thanks fellas, I'll keep em coming.

Teleported right middle of a ocean.

Put a camo suit on, spawned in middle of ocean after logoff. Thought it was fluke, was stupid enough to put another camo suit on, wound up in ocean after logoff... Camo = spawn in ocean. Also, it resets all your stats when you put a skin on.

    Combat Quitting Bandits?

I'd say closer to 10 is more reasonable. And if you take damage within that 10 second period it resets the counter.
  17. Simple idea. Make it so you can detect/hear when someone opens your pack or is trying to steal from you. Add a zipper opening sound? Maybe add tools later to open the pack silently.
  18. How exactly does humanity work now? I've been shot by Survivors who immediately turn to bandits, and shot by other Survivors who don't. The Survivors who don't turn into Bandits usually have slightly different skins, like sunglasses on. I killed a survivor that was clearly playing for awhile, who shot me first and I immediately turned into a bandit. Does your humanity pool cap go higher for each day your survive or something? Are there rules somewhere, why do some not turn into bandits?

    How Does Humanity Work Now?

Ohh interesting. I haven't logged back in since. Maybe all will be forgiven? :)
  20. So my companion and I are at the apartments scavenging for supplies from a recent Zombie horde attack... I make the mistake of rummaging through gear too close to an open window and three gunshots bangs later, I'm back at the ocean. I begin my long trek back towards the apartments. On the way I meet up with a fellow Survivor by the name of Nomino. Now I made it clear that I wasn't a threat to Nomino and was just passing by, but Nomino had the taste for blood that day. A hail of M16 fire erupts my way and before I know what's going on I'm half dead, bleeding, hiding behind the peer warehouse at Balota. I manage to bandage my wounds and think to myself, f*ck this guy! Realizing that I'm not going down without a fight, a few minutes later Nomino makes a defensive withdrawal down the shore keeping me at range of his M16. The chase begins! With little to lose, I come to my senses and decide to follow this would-be bandit using the foliage to mask my approach. About a mile later the jig is up and another firefight ensues. Luckily there was a rock just big enough to duck behind while bullets are literally sparking inches from me. I know I have no shot versus that M16, but if I can just get close enough... and as luck would have it, because Nomino is now panicking I'm able to get into the "kill zone". It's the end of the road. Nothing but open field from here, it's going to be him or me. My (real) heart is racing, I've never killed a survivor before but he has to pay. I quickly throw a distracting flare out to my right, giving me just enough time to sprint left. I circle the assailant at point blank range and before he can react I empty my last two clips. Nomino lays dead, and I popped my Bandit cherry. Poor guy must have been surviving for at least a week. I think I've been on some ARMA 2 missions with less gear than this guy had. M16, spare DMR sniper rifle, binos, food for days... Was it worth it? Only time will tell. The moral of the story is if your name is Nomino, don't shoot at Survivors!

    How I Lost My Humanity

Haha thanks Xquisite. It was really intense! This guy did have way more gear! I think he was on his journey to the darkside, I saw a dead survivor near him. (Haven't had that kind of rush from a game in years.)
