I have not tried playing directly with a lan cable though. I guess thats my next trouble shooting step.

I have had the same issue. I saw a thread about this a few weeks ago and one user suggested that running the game in windowed mode helped her some how. I tried that and it worked for a week or two but the problem has come back for me again. Infact now just refreshing the server list in dayz commander will knock out my internet connection. I have not seen a serious solution or explanation. You are not alone though, I have seen several people complain about the same problem. I thought I was crazy when I first began to search about it, figured there is no way one game can knock out my internet but others do have the same problem. I'v gotten a new modem, router, new wlan card, and updated every driver lately and the problem still persists.

Just a scavenger as well. Never shot another player. I sprayed MP5SD rounds at a guys feet one time to scare him away when he was getting to close to my hiding spot.

Never pass up a deer stand. I have found great guns in them. Sniper Rifle(one of my first spawns not sure which), PDW, G17, M4, Shotguns, and my favorite MP5SD.

I guess the sniper camping that pile was distracted for a minute, lol.

If you're super lucky like I was, The next day when you log in it might let you stand up and run with your broken leg.

Make sure you have everything updated. That you are running the latest Arma2 beta patch and the latest day z version. Also I reccomend DayZ Commander to launch and update. It is usually up to date and works very well. Way more reliable than six launcher imho. Every time I start having connection/Loading problems I find out I am behind a few patches.

The only way to reallyavoid hackers is to be allowed to password protect your server and only let in people you trust. As long as we pay for socialist server hosting with no control, hackers will find a way to screw you. I have played for a few months and was just killed by a hacker this weekend for the first time. It was as you said when the server was getting very corwded. Five minutes before I told my brother we should log now its getting too crowded and we're going to get killed but he wanted to check the Stary tents first, lol.

Dropping it always works for me too. I have had to do the same with a hatchet. Also if the hatchet bugs like that put it back on your tool bet then reequip it.

I see tents very often in grocery stores. Head to a city further North, several of them have grocery stores and are not crowded. Clean some junk out if you don't see one. walk away 30 meterts and come back and a tent might be there then.
