Hello, I am a bit confused. The last patch is great. It improves the game a lot, and I can't even understand why people(People in this forum, which are supposed to be Dayz fans) complain about it. Anyway, we can say the last patches have fixed lots of bugs and added/improved lots of things that needed to be added/improved. Well, what I cannot understand is that we are still playing a game that is supposed to emulate a real environment with toy guns. First of all, pistols. No comment. Is it really that hard to change the value of damage these weapons do? I don't think so. Then why don't they increase it? Then, the MP5. Same as pistols. Shotguns. Well, again, No comment. I would also increase the damage the assault rifles do. -

I understand some peoples' claims, they sound fair. I like the system If the game worked fine the combat log timer could be almost the best option, but...Human skkidies, Zombie exploiters, door traps... Anyway, my only problem is cheating. So, I follow an advice I red some time ago in these forums, just keep the window "Kill process arma2OA.exe" always on background, so that the only thing you need to do if a skkidie appears is just ALT+TAB and then ENTER. -
At last, we found someone with common sense. I've been playing Dayz for months, and I visit the community very often. It's common to find posts of people asking for help about this matter, and people just treats him as a CHEATER/SKIDDIE. (Please, lets name things by their name). I have always thought lets hope I never have a misunderstanding with BE...

Lol. Don't be so serious with your friend. I also play with a friend of mine. A good and real friend I mean, not those friends met in the internet. Having fun, that's what is important. We sometimes play very seriously, but sometimes we play like the most noob. And of course sometimes I want to play seriously and he is playing like an idiot. He also plays a lot less than me, but he is my friend, I enjoy more the game playing with him that alone...

I am indeed European and play in European servers. I hadn't came across any cheater untill the last week. I have encountered in last 10 hours of playing four (groups of) cheaters. Dunno exactly why. Just a question of luck probably... -

False. You are not forced to be a bandit. that's the easy way. Anyway, for me, its not the funnier way to play. IMO Dayz has two major problems: -The first one, now, is cheating. Recently I have came across lots of cheaters, and lots of them where stupid cheaters. What's the point of using god mode and start killing people? -The second point is death. Death should be penalize more to players. That way, you won't encounter bambies trying to kill you with a hatchet, people running from zombies through a city, bandits killing on sight people heavy armed. Not to mention the suicide of bambies all across Kamenka. I don't have the solution for this, although I have some ideas.

False, false. Have you played Dayz recently? because 2 hits from an AKM doesn't knock you out, neither (lol!) two hits of an M4. You have to be lucky to knock someone with two shots from an AKM. And then, the statement If they increased weapon damage that would make the AKM a one hit KO is ridiculous. 4500 blood damage... 12000-4500 damage means you hace a range of 7500 damage to increase from to 12000 and not to make it a one hit KO. If we are going to talk about this lets consider facts: -An M4 will not kill in three hits, and will leave you with 1400 blood, badly injured, and maybe unconscious. -An AKM will not kill you in two hits and will not leave you unconscious in two hits because you will have 3000 blood. It will kill you in three hits. -Handguns and MP5(And Bizon) will kill you in more than ten hits. Revolver and M1911 will do it in one or two less hits. -While being shot, you are still able to perform all types of actions, such as run to cover, shoot your own weapon, turn around. So this creates an important difference between weapons which do high damage shooting automatically and weapons that do less damage. Example: Using slugs in a close combat situation with a shotgun against an AKM, for example. It will be much more difficult for the one with the shotgun to win the battle, for obvious reasons, even if he hits the enemy twice before the enemy starts shooting. -

The patch is cool. It improves the game a lot. Dayz is not supposed to be a pvp game, but a survival game. That said, some of the claims of people in this forums are understandable. Improve it, don't simply remove the patch. Some things need to be improved, like, for example, the possibility to apply yourself a bloodbag. Why the hell not? Just make the bloodbags rare, very rare, and add the possibility to give some of your own blood to people. That's survival. (We could obviate the blood types for playability' sake.) Also, make it so that giving a blood transfusion requires more time, not just 6 seconds. Oh, not that, make blood transfusions so that they can't be applied whilst in combat. -

Well, so Dayz devs don't decide about the weapon damage... That makes me be happier. So we can hope Standalone weapons to be more realistic...Cool. -

Well X0TCadde, considering you almost agree with all I said above apart from shotguns... I think you see how I complain about weapons in general. The main problem about shotguns is that they should incapacitate a player in one shot when shot close to the victim. Their firing rate makes them almost useless, as you don't kill in two shots, and remember the player can move and run even if you shoot him. The pellets seem to deal more damage in close quarters but IDK how they exactly work. And well, yeah, I would make all assault rifles except snipers deal more damage. Its my opinion, though. -
