Breaking Point: Not Found
Serious Stan replied to Evutude (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Yes, delete the launcher and get a new one at their site. -
Im thinking of buying Arma 2 and dayz etc. (scared of fps probs)
Serious Stan replied to tzimaks's topic in New Player Discussion
Dont listen to them. Buy the game, try to tweak graphics and follow instructions to improve fps. Your fps varies alot on wich server you play on. Not always your rig. -
Ive heard this myself, i was more wondering about hero skin... Its not really an aim for me to stay a survivor, if i cant play as a hero id rather be a bandit.

does anyone have a link or anything confirming this or is it just wear the clothes you find? currently it is pretty fun playing a hero and i hope your good deeds will show in SA aswell.

Question: Can a player from Europe play on US servers without much ping problems?
Serious Stan replied to Blackhammer18's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Ping isnt really the problem, the problem is your rig or the server wich you want to play on. 150 ping could be good and 10 ping could be bad. -
Know you want to give props to dayzero but its kind of misguiding when you know so little about it. Anyhow, yes dayzero is defenitly the hottest mod around now. Most of the other trash mods are nothing compared to it.

So from what i hear, dayZ SA will be based on arma3 engine on an arma2 map called chernarus. And as far as i know it does have some content unique to its label ofcourse... But most of the game has been taken from arma 2 and arma3? Does this make DayZ SA a mod and not a game?

DayZ SA.... Mod or game?
Serious Stan replied to Serious Stan's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well there has been many improvements regarding dayzmod in the past, Just look up dayz on steam now its only 2 objects to choose from. 1:dayzMOD - FREE 2: arma2 combined operations- costs money If somehow steam chooses to combine the last pieces of the puzzle does this mean it is no longer a mod? -
When i started fresh i didnt know i could turn up the gamma :) crawling around in middle of elektro scared of the zombies making all kinds of creepy sounds, guy with NVGS finds me asking why the hell im crawling around. I scratch my head trying to find out how the hell i can communicate with him. ends up in silence with me crawling away :) Using direct communication i think has an audible range of about 150m around you, its great fun to meet friendly guys. had a group of 5 random people yesterday in dayzero, 3 of them died including me, 1 disconnected, 1 may still be alive! :)

Well hello there and welcome to the dayz community. Finding a good server with people you enjoy playing with can be hard, or finding mature players is sometimes a challenge itself. the dayz servers are divided by either private hives or official hives. Official hive means the server cannot be altered to the owners wishes, the owner of an official hive simply pays the bills and watches the server for hackers etca.. An official hive is always on the map called chernarus wich is the official dayz map. you can sort out hives by using a tool called DayZcommander I strongly advice you to download it. It will help you alot in finding servers you can call home :) Private hives means that the owner can do almost anything he wants in the server, jetplanes, tanks, scripts of all kinds. And the maps are almost unlimited for a new player, i suggest you start out on a fairly vanilla private chernarus server. you will probably get many suggestions on these boards wich one to choose. Or you will eventually find one you like. It wont always be like you have thought of playing dayZ, the survival gets easyer and the player confrontations less frequent when you stop trusting people. But accept the fact that there are many many players who have involved themselves in dayz something like 2 millions and they all cant be looking for the same satisfaction in a game. Good luck on your journeys sir!

Why can't I even play a ducking server?
Serious Stan replied to Prevail's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Sounds like you are having internet issues, with either wireless or port problems. try updating your hardware or dont run wireless or something? I never run dayz wireless. messes alot with my internet. dont know why :) -
Stories of the survivors
Serious Stan replied to thunderjaguar6's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
   gonna sue some of you for stomach cramps, good night -
The good way is to learn the game for yourself. the most fun aswell! Most guys just pick up the first gun they see and shoot the first guy they meet in the head. get his gear.. surviving is not a really big part of the game, the only thing you are surviving against is bandits.(other players) and glitches.

You shouldnt avoid people at all times thats plain boring :)
