Flying in first person is not much harder, its the dodgy landings thats hard in first person. If you avoid that you will be fine.

Its not rare anymore when it never dissapears. AS50s are like quicksilver, it just goes from generation to generation. what im saying is that most guys will pick up an as50 and use it or store it, then it will be in circulation a long time. Maybe if you couldnt use m107 mags in it and the as50 NATO mags would not reset after relog, THEN we could have it ingame.

I agree a spiked pit would probably hurt, though i never tried it and i dont know how much a sharpened wooden pole does to a man when he is falling from lets say 30cm? there is a limit on how deep you can dig, but it would do some damage. maybe with a failroll? Actually i think all traps should have a failroll and a damage dice. they could critically hit you or barely hit you.. there is no raeson why you should everytime set your foot in the middle of the beartrap :P

Partially been discussed in the past we have more energy cost by travelling in the sun(warmth), and travelling in the cold. It would IRL cost your body alot more energy. So in dayZ it should be aswell! Im simply suggesting means of reducing those energy costs by having a couple of tools that also IRL would reduce the costs in a winter landscape. Afterall if the snow is deep and the air is cold its hell of hard running with ordinary boots. There are some diffrent types of snowshoes and they are not something that replace your ordinary boots. here is a picture. You can also get newer models ofc, these are an old example of running snowshoes. you can get a marching military type wich is heavy and newer versions of slim running types wich is very light and tight. Im sure you all know how skis look like so i wont post a picture of that. And i would imagine with the new crafting system that you would be able to make skis.

should hold the northern norway part season times then :D We got 2 weeks of 24/7 night in the winter and on the summers we got something called midnight sun that lasts for about 1-2 weeks. quite strange sitting outside at 0300 in the night having a cigarette while the sun is up :)

Once a suv with 2 bandits was coming towards me on tavi mountain trying to roadkill me. I load a HE grenade from my holo in their suv, ofcourse with fatal result. But not for another 20 seconds. Enough for them to jump out and shoot me in the face :(
