I think there are are some server sync/patch problems. Same happened here; tried another server and was fine (I guess you have to hope that your state isn't recorded by the "corrupt" server before you log off from it.) -

1.7.2.3. Infected:- Danger rating in this patch - LOW. (since their hearing is reduced by 50% through objects). Immersion rating - LOW. Problems with spawns are well recorded. When a player approaches buildings:- 1. infected can spawn in duplicate locations AT THE SAME time resulting in humourous conga lines of infected. 2. infected path-walking obviously radiates out (away from buildings) from where they spawn; this is rather predictable; towns can be empty 5mins after you approach one; IE all infected have walked to the outskirts of the town and the center is empty. I know that the infected are there to provide a background atmosphere to the main pvp game (I crack up when some people suggest removing them!) but the more "realistic" and challenging they are the better the game experience IMHO. -

Funny how the Lee is a popular low-spec primary despite its large footprint (sound). Doesn't seem to aggro as much as it used to; the Winchester used to be a better bet (quieter) but v.little ammo around (1.7.2.3); also finding loads of shotgun ammo... EDIT: sorry Day3 of Life #'lots'; what keeps this game going for me is the relative ease with which you can restart; so you may get sniped, say a few f*cks, but half an hour later you have a Lee, beans, drinks and you're off again. -

[1.7.2] Main notes :- 1. loot not spawning is some buildings; supermarkets well stocked though! 2. infected behaviour is unpredictable (I guess that may be by design?) 3. performance is good

If this happens to anybody more than once may be worthing rasing an official bug @ https://dev-heaven.net/projects/dayz/issues?set_filter=1&tracker_id=1 (you have to register). Just a. check if already raised (you can update somebody elses bug I think) or b. ensure you put the version number in the subject. Makes me wonder if the Bug section of the forum is worthwhile? -

Yere, I'm totallt screwed, running into the sun (in theory SE @GMT-8) but I'm running into the clouds :-( Do the clouds always run in the same direction? -

I'm probably totally screwed now. Ideally I'd join a server that's put me in the debug forest but I don't think that works these days. I'm on a server with time set to GMT-8 and I'm just running into the sun... my last water has 10 maybe 15mins left... its a shame you cannot milk goats (I just past one) :-) -

^ 1 hour chasing clouds and I'm giving up. This used to be fixable by joinging CA2 (takes you to the debug forest). Does anybody know another server to try. Seem to remember Texas?!? (1, 2 ??) -

Just stopped to kill a cow... 1 water down. 1 to go. Stupid bloody game. I'm still following the clouds (about 25mins now)... EDIT: 50mins f*ck f*ck f*ck etc. -

^ thought it was further than that. Ok, paper-clip is wedged in... following clouds (although there are 2 lots of clouds!?!?!?). Will report back in 15 mins. -

Ahh - the wilderness - I haven't seen you for a while :-( [1.7.2] from NW; lost ghillie (don't really care) but appear to have most other kit. Remind me which server(s) will allow me to get out of the wilderness. Used to be CA2 - just tried that (couldn't create character). Any others? -

(1.7.2) I've spawned in with my Ghillie suit and I was invisible. And FOV seems to have zoomed in or perphaps that's related to just being invisible. -

Backpacks can be found in all types of spawn locations like shops, supermarkets, cow sheds, offices, etc. I'd try the the NW supermarkets (extra care needed in Starry). Priority 1 stuff:- bandages, morphine, drinks (water bottles can be topped up; not sure what the current risk is of getting infection from bad water?); beans Priority 2 stuff:- hatchet, matches, knife; all stored on tool belt; removes reliance on beans.

Just been on a server where zeds+animals (and dead players) have been highlighted by a white sphere? Is that a server option or hack? They show up through solid objects which rather defeats the object of the game.
