@Jurkey, I think the brilliance of Rocket's decision to allow people to make their own decisions on HOW to play speaks for itself. YOU must adapt to the environment, not the environment adapt to YOU. This is the nature that every species has had to deal with since life began, it is pure evolutionary DEMANDS. To evolve, a species MUST be able to adapt to its environment or it will surely perish, I chose to adapt and have been successful. I have a squad, we watch each others backs and act within a hierarchy just like wolves, the Alpha male calls the shots and the rest follow that lead, we are extremely successful. If this were to happen in real life, I would like to think I would be fine. I have a reserve of fresh water, food and weapons so I will be no easy mark but I am more prepared for the crash of the dollar than I am a zombie apocalypse....whatever may come, I am prepared regardless. This game is a perfect case study for psychologists, I would love to see a class dissect this game and a dedicated servers players and read the reports...THAT would be good reading methinks.

Predation...is it a problem? As an apex predator myself I would have to say no, Darwin I think would agree with me. Scenario: you find yourself in an environment where 99% of the population has been stricken by some unknown disease, turning them into zombies. There are no more semi's running food to the grocery store and the infrastructure of the nation including all the "creature comforts" are down. No food no power no TV no nothing...you have a flashlight a bandaid and some tylenol. Now, you hero's out there talking about rebuilding civilization I applaud your sentiment, I however am going into self preservation mode quick fast and in a fkn HURRY!! FIRST I am securing the basics for survival, hatchet, knife, matches and a rifle & ammo. SECOND I am carving out a piece of property that I will claim as my territory with game and fresh water, a tent would be nice but not necessary. THIRD I will entertain the possibility of allies, short blondes with a nice rack and slim waist are moved to the front of the line....no im not kidding it gets cold at night and with no tv or computers a man HAS to have entertainment. Anything that impedes this short list of "must haves" in any way will be killed, not out of any particular malice but out of self preservation. I tried to play the "hero" role in the beginning and after a few quick life spans I realized I had to look out for me because no one else was going to. Call me a bandit, hell call me whatever you want but at the end of the day I am the one eating good with the best equiptment and that fine shortie....your feeding flies. Just keeping it real gentleman.

I cannot answer the "WHY's" to these questions but I CAN help you locate your debug. Press esc. go to options game options and under UI it will be set to default click the right arrow once and you will see "debug" click ok...your debug will pop up but your food and drink will go straight green not allowing you to see when you are hungry/thirsty. regarding bandit and hero skins I am not sure how the mechanics work regarding humanity, I just know that being a good counter sniper makes one a bandit so I am a proud bandit! I give morphine and blood transfusions to my squad, I am a good guy basically but If I don't know you and you are armed....well....bandit skin says it all.

Logged into TS like any other night to play BF3 about a month and a half ago and half my crew were in a new channel called "Zombie"...I was like WTF?! I hopped down and asked what was up and Slade says to me "Skin you gotta try this shit" I said no thanks sounds retarded. The next day at work I you tubed some videos about Dayz and thought...ok a game of running...endless running, no thanks. Two days later a friend of mine sent me a link of Sacriel42's squad vids, now THAT caught my attention and I bought arma II and have been playing every day since and will preorder the standalone.

I read it man I was just breaking your balls a bit. This mod is chock full of bugs, this is one of them. I have been killed outright, spawned fresh and came in UNCONCIOUS with a TIMER with no backpack, flashlight or bandage. My suggestion would be to reload the game and see if that helps.

This sounds fun as hell, however I am curious what MAP is this server dedicated to? What are the settings? I would really like to play on a private hive setting like Sacriel is playing on IE no thermal l85 etc...is this what you had in mind? If this is indeed what you have in mind then I have a squad of 5 that will give nightmares to your children's children.

I hunt snipers every night...ranging a target, compensating for distance and elevation is not as easy as CQC I can promise you. There is an art to sniping and even MORESO with counter sniping...man up!!!

I am an honorable warrior, I would not shoot a medic, nor do I prey on the freshy's looking for their first can of beans. I am a bandit however, I kill snipers almost exclusively...counter sniping other bandits has become my specialty. My squad enjoy defending the high value (and high trafficked) military installations on the various maps...Takistan mostly these days. Don't worry however...my rifle doesn't leave enough left of my target to tape back together Doc....

Ok fess up and the punishment will be marginal, lie or try to hide the TRUTH and the suffering will be unimaginable!! Seriously though...what the hell is going on with Takistan people?! Can someone please contact Lee, who knows him and get some info for us???

Tim, this is not the effects of a hacker, it is also occuring on other Takistan servers. I am bumping this thread in the hopes that we can have a cogent response from someone "in the know" as to what the hell is going on....

"Skin changer" haven't you heard man, SKIN don't change....I am eternal. Leave the shit alone and play the game the way it was meant to be played.

I am not sure of the community at large but from my perspective, active admins who try to ensure the game play of their server be as even a playing field as possible is APPRECIATED. If I were the admin, the Hacker (Brad) and Leal for actively promoting it would be banned, plus he has done it before and would in short order get the "bypass" whatever that is and be another hacker screwing up the server. Isn't there any way you admin's can stop these guys from just creating this stuff out of thin air?

Ok so our regular server (NL FORCES) was up last night but as a previous post stated...everyone spawns at the south AF... has anyone seen any information on if this will be fixed anytime soon?

While I appreciate the philanthropic attitude of you medics out there, I am unfamiliar with your kind...I am more of a combat ops kind of player. In the world I am accustomed to, doctors get paid handsomely and I assumed those services in game would be regarded as valuable. Don't get me wrong, the whole doctors without borders approach appeals to me immensely as I am horribly cheap (feeding three growing teenagers and a wife addicted to shoes) and will probably put your link on speed dial if my banditry lands me in hot water...you do treat bandits no?!?!?!
