DayZ Orgins is a mod for the DayZ mod. Vanilla just means the original game. DayZ standalone is the actual game that wouldn't require Arma as it would be its own game. The standalone date has yet to be announced. -

I heard they added utes to chernarus and also there is alot more towns up north. -
There is a TON of guides on YouTube that help. Trying messing around with the graphic options. I've read that having them lower can cause your computer to work harder.

Basically what the title says. I want to see why people choose what they do. I personally believe they should be harder to encourage teaming but another perspective would he nice. Please elaborate if you're going to post.

That hill between cherno and elektro seems to be safe. I found cars up there and it gives you a nice view of the area.

I think the hero stages are in the SA. I could be wrong though.

I haven't actually. I'll be sure to check it out though. I've read a lot of post lately and it seems that this is a subject where the community is at two extremes. -
You could try and do a disk defragment. If you're playing on a laptop connect it to a power source or put it on high performance.

You got it on steam right? I believe if you go to your steam library,were it shows your games, and right click Arma a option shows up to check file integrity or something similar to this. I'm sure that should work.

Hey there, I'm a big DayZ player that stopped playing about two months ago due to low frame rates on my current laptop. I'm looking into buying a "gaming laptop" (no hate pls). I'm looking into Asus laptops, specifically the Asus g75vw-ds71, and I'm wondering if this or a similiar laptop can run Arma and just DayZ in general on high settings. I have a 1500$ budget if you can recommend anything around this price. Thank you in advance.

Didn't they have a patch that made zombies less zig zaggy? About the Asus g75 I made a post about it and many people who use it said it could run DayZ on pretty high settings. Anyways, if you don't want hackers you should join a private hive or a whitelisted server. -

Wow, thanks for the fast reply man. I was thinking amazon. It's listed at 1,394 plus shipping and it comes with a bag and a mouse. Also, do you know if this could run total war games on high?
