I was playing weekly with an Arma Mil Sim group, enjoying that aspect of the game for sometime. I had dabbled in mods for realism etc when dayz reared its head out. I played my first 6 hours straight on a server at night and was instantly hooked.

Try below- Ctrl+R, regedit Follow the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\Dayz (Wow6432Node will be there only on 64bit version of Windows) Double click on MAIN,remove the extra backslash at the end and OK.
