Most likely has to do with the way things have changed after the last build came through just load into one of your normal favorited servers and see how it plays. If it seems a bit laggy you can try to go to the lowest pinged server to you and see how that plays in comparison.

Been suggested quite abit, I would not mind it if it were on lower tier difficulty, not for hardcore or veteran settings.

Unsure what would cause this, try setting all your filters to 0, refresh and give it a few minutes to load up servers rather than spamming refresh. Let me know if this changes anything adn we can go from there.

Move the map into your hotbar while its in your inventory and just press the assigned hotkey to pull it up. If you have tried this and still getting a black screen please let me know. Regards, Steak.

Hello, there are a few solutions out there for this that are hit and miss for players they can be found in this thread which is monitored by a BE team member http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/164323-update-161-player-proximity-desync-issue-solutionsworkarounds/page-8 Further more, a good idea would be to post a ticket into the bug reports here http://feedback.dayzgame.com/my_view_page.php and then post the ticket number into this thread so others with the same issue may locate and upvote the issue. Tell the server admin to restart the server and or when you exit to the lobby pick another player slot as far down in lobby as you can. It's a bug with arma2 on persistent servers with JIP(Join in progress) players. The problem has to do with AI dopplegangers taking up a slot the player that they select on the left hand side of the lobby screen. Basically when a JIP player connects it creates an AI in debug as his place holder, who then has his the player information and database information loaded onto it in a few steps, where the player will get control at some point, load in normally and be able to play. When there is latency issue, or the player is kicked or exits this loading process in the middle of it, it will sometimes bug out, and leave the AI place holder in that slot. This is where the bird problem starts, as when any player tries to join that slot, the AI place holder is still there, in debug, preventing a new placeholder from being spawned, and moves the connecting player to "spectator mode" as it doesn't know where else to put the player (just like if the player did not pick a team side, and left their name greyed out with the gold colored tab, and joined the game with no side, it defaults them to spectator). So what others have done to 'band-aide' the issue is first to tell a player to select a new, unused slot on the left. It goes to 100, but there will become a point where this will no longer work. Next is to reassign roles, this clears all non persistent objects off the map, and is faster than a restart. All dead bodies, vehicle carcases, destroyed buildings, loot piles, and AI dopplegangers in debug will be cleared. You have to ask your players to join the lobby otherwise they will be forced to the lobby when you execute this option. Lastly, if it comes back after doing these two things, all one can do is restart the server to fix it. Regards, Steak

Yes, download dayz commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/ go to install/update tab once you have it and choose epoch. Launch into any epoch server you want directly from commander or place the IP into your favorites and launch into your preferred Epoch server.

Besides the fact that loot would be non existent, the fact that your server uptime going completely overboard would make the server unplayable due to dsync. -

Flamethrower no, IED's would be great fun satchels used to be the troll item of the century in the Mod and this could be reborn with IEDs. -
Lets try a fresh install of BE go here http://www.battleye.com/download.html download the .dll file and place it into your BE folder. The BE folder is located in steam>steamapps>common>Dayz>expansion>BE. Launch into the menu of a server and wait for it to intialize then try loading into the server. Report back with what happens. Steak.

Correct you will be kicked from the server as the restart cycles and when you log back in after loot and zeds are replenished onto the server. -
I think about that everytime I look at my wardrobe, hence why I go naked.
