Have your mates spread your gear amongst eachother so your items can get to you undamaged and give you the slip. Looks like your in the pond next to Kab so just have them rally east and meet you on respawn.

Make an official post here http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/125-servers/ and keep your members posting into the thread in order to keep players looking. 2 hrs is off putting IMHO, you might make a quick slate and place it on 24/7 day for a week or so which I am not a fan of but it does tend to populate servers. From there try to seed it as best you can at one time with your friends so others see a population during primetime and join you. Best Regards, Steak.

You appear to be in the debug plains, I would suggest either using the sun to find your way back or kill that character from starvation and respawn on the beach.

Good read, the mechanics in vanilla dayz mod I thought were quite fitting and would suite SA well even if rariety was boosted up a notch. They were similar to what you have posted here and kept servers from going overboard and having loads of OP equipment operating around the map.

Is this steam or retail?

I favor this concept, best suggestion yet. I do see the abused side of it to play devils advocate, people getting upset and just pinning the life out of the server with their friends. The overall idea I do like as with hopes it could go straight to the GSP to monitor.
