Every survival aspect that effects your character when initially implemented gains tears, it breaks comfortable players away from the relaxation groove they are in which in turn has made them complacent. I quite enjoy it and have always enjoyed more intense survival.

Server resets do not reset your character, as for why your character was wiped on the same server whilst playing could be numerous reasons.

Are you underwater? If so access your inventory and leave it until the character dies.

Most likely killed whilst waiting to log out completely, anti ghosting in any shape or form is good. Blaming your death on misconception of how the game works is bad. -
