Most likely based out of a private server that offers skin packages to their players that is unless you are talking about a (hero) or (bandit) skin which are in game and based on humanity. Contact the admin of the server your playing on and ask if you can get a custom skin or inquire how one goes about it on that server.

Have you tried straightening the wheels via mouse slowly before hitting the gas then adjust your turns via keyboard sounds like the issue. I have crashed many cars two feet from take off because I winged my mouse before hitting the road like thelma and louis

The server you are trying to join might be locked. When it kicks you back to arma main do you see dayz listed on the screen as still being enabled if so try using the ingame filter to join servers. Any kick messages? Like wrong password given?

I could tell as I was not fully inspired to conduct donuts in an f250 whilst flying through a mud hole packed to the tits with 80's chicks in american flag bikini's shooting silver revolvers at beer bottles. Only the true motley can create such moments
