What version of dayz are you currently running compared to the server? 1.7.7 was updated to 1.7.7.1 today which may cause this issue. If you are running 7.1 downgrade through commander to match the server you are playing that has not picked up the hotfix.

Play to learn and adapt to the environment around you absording the rush. You may be quite and cautious or yolo and gunning down the street either way I want you to enjoy the experience as it should be for the first time genuinely (unknown). Go and find your ArmA 2 Free folder inside your Steam folder. Select the folder marked Addons and copy. Go to your ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead folder. There shouldn't be an Addons folder here. Paste the one you've copied from ArmA 2 Free.

uncheck the box under settings section of dayz commander titled launch in windowed mode.
