Sounds like he went to Dayz CC to try and run his own server for him and co. to avoid hackers. Went to DL files and his antivirus read it as malicious which lead him to ultimately not DL.

I think he is talking about the Dayz Server Control Center http://www.dayzcc.tk/ but not sure what he could have possibly downloaded from there that would cause this issue.

ITO7, you can always do public pushes to promote your whitelisted server. Open up the flood gates to the public for a month and let players try out your server while showing you are active. Inform your population when the 30 or so days time limit is reached it is returning to whitelisted and they need to contact you for whitelisting to continue playing. -

There was one night when I was challenged by a friend who implied that the reason Hero's were Hero's was because they were a shite shot. 15 murders and 7 beers later untouched, including a kill @ 1244 meters I felt my humanity leaking from my seems. Logged back in the next day to my first ever bandit skin on public hive, immediately regretting my drunken decision I began ninja blood bagging unknown players to get back to my normal state. -

If your using the Dayz DB and having issues locating vehicles its time to start camp hunting. A large amount of players tend to set up camps along the edge of the debug plains. Loot up some hunting essentials and a water bottle then edge the map within 200 meters of the Debug starting on the west side from Zelengorsk then head north and around following it. Your bound to come across a stash of Hilux's. Once you get a vehicle take it to one of those main areas for parts. Since you want to make it last as long as possible head to polana or sol factory to loot back up parts and put them in your vehicle as there might be less opposition then the major cities.

You can always refer to Dayz DB for vanilla vehicle locations http://dayzdb.com/map. Keep in mind alot of private hives have additional spawn locations. For your parts you can got to the Cherno industrial area, Electro industrial area, Sol factory, Polana factory and the Berenzino industrial area these all have high percentages for looting vehicle parts.

Both the above are correct answers. It is a hack menu, if you are worried about regulars possibly being "infected" and want to give them the benefit of the doubt, force restart the server. If they still show up with the remote.exe menu again they are doing it all on their own. -
