If you loot a can opener this will not be an issue. The newer build [WIP] allows you to use sharp items to open cans aswell thus leading into degradation of said item. Regards, Steak. -

Uninstall the game clear the appdata dayz folder and delete the game folder and profiles reinstall with steam running as admin and run the game with steam as admin. -

If working correctly you simply place the screw driver over the canned item in your inventory, however I have been reading that on the updated build it might not be working properly yet in which case you will need to find a can opener. Regards, Steak. -

Does dayZ SA use a CD-key?

As stated you will be able to play on seperate computers but you will have to use the one steam account which means you will have to load it back and forth between each PC. That said each time you go back and forth you will both be playing on the same account and have the same characters unless your brother decides to blow you up each time he plays. You cannot play side by side on the same steam account and or trade games as of yet to his account back and forth. So which ever account has the purchased copy you will need to use between both PC's. -

You should be fine your FPS will depend on your ingame settings to smooth it.

Dayz takes a bit to get used to for new players. Be patient and it will soon poor over you with enjoyment when you get the ropes. If you need any help ingame and want to play/learn the layout of the map and other things I would be happy to show you. Just send me a PM on here and we can meet up at a time that suits you.
