Adjust the server filter to internet, set your max pings etc and search host field dayz.

This exactly, we have been trying to bring back the hive experience across multiple servers, whilst not crazy populated they have not been up for long. The idea is still pretty fresh and we don't advertise it much. -

Sounds like you were caught in some sort of lag issue prior to a restart, on non persistent servers, not sure about persistent. If you don't periodically get out of the vehicle if a server restarts you will return to the last location you got into the truck.

I agree with the idea and realistically the cancel current action is designed that way. The flaws your describing within it are part of the way the character animations work in game though for now with this engine. Basically everytime you conduct an animation it must complete it, I think in the future with new wave of things to come alot will change in a more responsive system. -

Try right clicking dayz in your library. Go to set launch options, put in -nosplash -skipIntro see if that works. -
Don't worry you have doen more then I, recording/video editing is not my strong suit by any means. I can be a critic all day, but its only based on viewing slabs upon slabs of video content.

That might be the ideal in some cases. However as a longtime survivor and hardly never being on the coast, I have an opposite outlook. I prefer to go down the path of more primitive/crafting weaponry. I care for the living off the land vs looting.
